Star-Kidz

Karleigh and McKenna Larson played the part of Josslyn Jacks on General Hospital. The girls recently attended the GH fanclub with their cast mates. Check out what their favorite part of the event was!

1. How did the girls get started in the industry?

They were only five weeks old. A great girlfriend from my previous work emailed me this post from “Jen’s list” and said you should try it. I sent an email with six pictures – it bounced back. Again with four pictures and it came back. The last time I sent only two pictures and left the house because it was the first time I could get a break from double duty and I hadn’t seen or ridden my horse in obviously a very long time .. but by the time I got the horse put back in his stall, I had an interview for General Hospital, and within ten hours of sending the third email to Paloma we had an agent and were filming General Hospital three days later.. and it was all a HUGE fluke. I had no idea twins were so popular and could start work so early in their lifetime .. but I’m glad I listened to my friend and submitted the girls cause it’s been a fantastic ride!

2. What was your reaction to finding out the girls were cast on General Hospital?

Very excited … I probably overreacted because of the sleep deprivation. But I was thrilled and so proud of my girls!!

3. How did Karleigh and McKenna like attending this year’s GH Luncheon?

They had a blast. They were a little upset they couldn’t walk up to the stage with Brooklyn and sit with their cast mates – Karleigh tried to walk up and the crowd LOVED her, and cheered her on – but I quickly pulled her to the side as the speaker was announcing another cast mate.

4. What was it like working with Brandon Barash?

Fantastic! He is a true gentleman and just a down right nice and supportive guy – so NOT his character on TV! He actually came into the green room and got to know Karleigh before the first scene was ever taped so she was familiar with him – and continued to always meet her so she would be comfortable – and I think it shows on screen. Brandon was always excited to see the girls and work with them. Wish him lots of success!!

5. How did the girls enjoy working with Brooklyn?

LOVED HER!! Only did one scene with her and syrup LOL!! But it was great – and a great friendship was built from there between the families, as we all hung out at Disneyland – we even watched her on CSI NY and the girls were like “there’s our best friend! Where did she go?” So in that respect it is sad cause we don’t work with her anymore obviously. But we can say we worked with her during her very first scenes at GH. But we still keep in touch and support all the girls and their budding careers.

6. What was it like working with Cheyanna (Ghost Hope)?

That was very fun. She was a very energetic girl who really wants to go far. Very professional but still young or I should say acted her age. I just wish I was more like her mom and took lots of pictures on set .. but oh well. We have all the tape! But very lovely lady and we wish her the best!

7. Is there someone you wish the girls had a chance to work with?

Oh gosh – I can’t name just one. And technically they have worked with everyone when they were christened .. the whole town showed up …LOL. It would have been fun to do more with John Ingle as he used to be my high school’s acting teacher he left the year I began to do GH. Would have loved to have worked with Steve Burton more too. But it seems we got all the villians – Franko, Jerry Jax, to name a few so we can’t really complain as I know there were several long timers who were so excited for them to be on set but never got to do a scene.

8. Was there a favorite storyline that you happened to enjoy seeing them in the most?

Though they were tough, the kidnapping/ rain scenes were fun. Because it was fun to see Karleigh react to the rain and she did SO WELL with Ingo!! She adored that man and was so excited to work with him.

9. Do you and the girls still keep in touch with any GH cast members

We plan to visit Laura and her family next year at the winery for sure and we will reconnect with everyone at the 50th celebration. Sean and I keep in touch via facebook and plan to catch a game … and of course Brooklyn and her mom – we text back and forth … but it is tough with everyone’s schedule. I will send a Holiday card to the set and wish them all well for sure. I know I could call any of the cast mates and it would be like old times. After three years … how could it not be? Plus they all got to see them grow up and would like to see where they are now I bet!

10. What is your favorite GH memory?

Oh boy … there are so many – I just miss it all especially around the holiday season and seeing how the set was dressed and seeing all the Christmas trees and decorations. The show always went full out for the holidays so it was always fun being there. We just miss the people really …. when we watch GH at home, the girls are like “there’s my TV mom … who is THAT with her?” So that has been tough to explain but it was all great and all a memory now… it’s ALL good!!!

We just miss the show, and would like to thank the fans for all their kind words and support during the transition. Hopefully you will see the girls on something again soon to see how they have grown up and changed into little ladies. We just welcome this opportunity too to keep in touch and let you all know we haven’t forgotten about our fans and appreciate them so much! You all have made this experience so fun and delightful and I’m excited to see how 2013 pans out for the girls and can’t wait to share it with you all! Thank you so much!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! XOXOXO

We’d like to thank Karleigh and McKenna’s family for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A event!
