2012 – Hailey Medina

 

We first introduced everyone to Hailey earlier this year in our February Q&A series, and she’s back with a second interview to catch up about current projects and a few past ones we hadn’t discussed previously. Hailey has been busy with the Little Miss Muffit’s Monster Sitting Service play in Central Park and just recently worked on a project called 18 Kids/18 Songs! When not auditioning Hailey is an active participant at the George St. Playhouse recently having taken part in their Mix Tape performance.

 

1. What was your favorite part about shooting for Franco?

Franco was really enjoyable because I like dressing in different outfits and posing like a singer in a rock band!

 

2. Do you have a favorite part of your Mix Tape performance you did at the George St. Playhouse?

It’s really exciting when you first step on stage and see the audience waiting for you to begin. Being Snow White was spectacular- I love musical theatre.

 

3. What was it like working with your brother for 18 Kids/18 Songs?

Aiden and I love working together. We always make-up things on set to make each other laugh.

 

4. Do you have a favorite song that you did for 18 Kids/18 Songs?

The first song was super-funny. We were numbers 1 and 2 and our t-shirts were painted with these numbers. We danced and sang as other kids and cast came to join in the song.

 

5. What was the experience like seeing the Little Miss Muffit’s Monster Sitting Service show?

Watching show was an incredible experience. It was weird hearing my voice come out of a little puppet that kinda looked like a mini version of myself. It was even funnier when I caught myself singing along and saying Molly’s lines before she said them.

 

6. How did you feel being called up to the front stage area during one of the performances?

 

It was super spectacular; I blushed so much my face matched my pink shirt that day. I was overwhelmed with happiness seeing the audience cheering and smiling. My parents and brother looked happy and proud!

 

7. Do you have a favorite moment from filming Brunchables?

My favorite part was when I had to GASP. They announced the product and cut to me gasping and smiling. Of course, the hair and make-up touch ups between takes always make me feel pampered; which is pretty nice too!!!

 

8. What is your dream role/project?

A principal role in a feature film or sitcom would definitely start my dreams rolling.

 

9. What is your favorite production you have done at the George St. Playhouse?

The first show is always unforgettable and that was entitled Better Days and I was six years old. The most recent show entitled Mix Tape was sensational because I had a lot of “quick changes” and lead roles.

 

10. If you could give kids wanting to get into the industry one piece of advice, what would it be?

My advice would be … HAVE FUN! Smile and enjoy each and every experience and opportunity. Soooo – go have fun and smile on and off camera!
