2012 – Emily Sorge

Emily Sorge has been on a roll in the industry already at such a young age! She has been seen in advertisements for Avon, Babies R Us, FAO and more! She just lights up in front of the camera. Make sure to check out CP Talent and their Facebook page to stay up to date!

1. How did Emily get started in the business?

We sent her picture to CP talent company in June. We had been tossing around the idea of submitting Emily to an agency for a few months. Emilys cousin had signed with CP talent and after seeing how well she was doing we decided to give it a shot. She booked her first shoot a few weeks later!

2. How exciting was it to find out Emily was booked a job for FAO?

It was really exciting to book a shoot with such an amazing company. Emily had so much fun that day at the photo shoot. She was chosen to play in a ball pit for this particular shoot and had a blast doing so.

3. What was the experience like filming a commercial for Collace?

It was amazing to have been chosen for this commercial. Emily loves meeting new people and going new places. She was all smiles and had such a good time interacting with everyone on set. It is such an amazing feeling to see your child be chosen for such a wonderful opportunity and the experience is one we will never forget!

4. What was your favorite part of Emily’s shoot for Nuk Babies?

This was one of Emilys first photo shoots. There was so much excitement and anticipation surrounding this shoot. Dennis Mosner and his staff at the studio are such kind and wonderful people. They made the entire day so memorable. The pictures were AMAZING!!! One of our favorite moments from that day was when Dennis Mosner, began singing the Hokie Pokie to get Emilys attention and that perfect picture! Emily loved it and the NUK representative was thrilled with the result.

5. What was it like shooting for Avon?

Emily has been fortunate enough to have been booked twice with Avon. It was amazing to see how much planning and thought goes into a shoot. The production staff were so kind and good to Emily. One of the shoots took place in a beautiful home out on Long Island. Avon had arrainged to have a car service pick us up and drive us out to this beautiful location. Avon is a wonderful company to work with and we look forward to working with them again.

6. Who are your favorite people Emily has had a chance to work with so far?

It is so hard to choose just one! Everyone has been so nice and accommodating.

7. Are there any funny moments that have happened on set you can share?

We always get a kick out of hair and makeup we laugh everytime they say,”Ok is Emily ready for hair and makeup?”. Emily did a photoshoot over the summer for Babies R Us. She was shooting with two other babies and they were all headed in different directions until the three parents who were standing off set decided to corral the babies by tossing them puffs in between shoots. It was just a funny scene to see all three parents there but in the end the pictures turned out amazing!!

8. What is the casting process like for Emily’s age group?

The process changes everytime depending on the company and if its for a print ad or commercial. We are usually given a time to head to the studio for a go-see. If the audition is for a print ad they will just shoot a few pictures and take a few measurements. When we have gone for commercial auditions Emily has been held by the actresses while they say their lines on camera. After this process you wait for a call back or a hold for a possible booking. It is always a lot of fun for both Emily and us because we get to see many of the same familes at these castings.

9. Is there anyone in the industry you would love Emily to get a chance to work with one day?

We would love to see Emily have the chance to work with some of her favorite tv shows such as Fresh Beat Band and Sesame Street.

10. What is your favorite job Emily has done so far?

The Collace Commercial. It was so exciting to see her chosen for a commercial. It was a fun process from the very beginning. Emily went for the audition and we got a call back for a second audition and booked the commercial a few days later. The production staff was so kind and friendly. It was such memorable day and a proud moment to see your child on set of a commercial.
