Star-Kidz

Brooklyn Rae Silzer plays the part of Emma Drake on General Hospital. She’s had quite the year also booking recurring role on CSI NY, and shooting several print jobs and a commercial for Disney Channel!

1. How did you get started in the industry?

A photographer suggested we send in my photos- so glad my Mommy did!!

2. What was it like attending your first fan event?

Such a blast! I got to dress-up, walk the press line, & brought me whole family to see all of the fans for General Hospital

3. Who do you spend time with backstage at GH?

I usually run around & run lines with Jason- he is so much fun. Usually there are not any kids but when they are we run wild in the halls!!

4. What is your favorite memory of working with Kimberly?

I have a few but probably our Christmas episode from last year was so sweet & one of our last together on a Valentines episode when I get to meet my Grandma Anna- Finola Hughes:)

5. How did you like filming CSI?

It was great & everyone was so nice. I had my own dressing room with my name on it & a directors chair- that was really cool!

6. How different is doing CSI: NY from GH?

It is much faster paced on General Hospital-we do one or sometimes two episodes a day. On CSI they
do several takes and take about 7 days for one episode. Also,we got to film on location for CSI & I had a few body doubles!! I am so thankful that I got to do two amazing shows:)

7. What was the best part of filming your Disney Jr commercial?

I got to work with my Mommy & that is a memory we will always have:)

8. What’s it like working with Finola Hughes?

She is so kind & sweet & gives the best hugs:)

9. How did you enjoy working with Becky Herbst?

Also, so sweet and always making sure I am o.k. We got to eat ice cream together in the morning & that was a treat!

10. What has been your favorite scene on General Hospital this year?

Probably when I had to throw a tantrum because my Daddy was going on a date- I got to really use my acting skills. The crew was really proud of me & that made me feel great.

Yes, I feel so blessed to be doing something I love & enjoy pretending to be new characters & can’t wait to see what the future holds. Also, I am so thankful for all of the kind words that people have given me – it really has been such a gift.

We’d like to thank Brooklyn and her family for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A event!
