Sydney Mikayla

Sydney Mikayla made her daytime debut as Ciara’s Friend on an episode of Days of Our Lives in 2011. In 2019, her career brought her back to daytime taking over the role of Trina Robinson on General Hospital, as the show changed a rare appearing friend of Josslyn (Eden McCoy) into a recurring role. Sydney was quick to win over fans as she joined the teen scene and the soap soon found ways to branch her character out by having Trina work with Ava Jerome (Maura West) at the gallery and a DNA test mystery. Trina soon gained a family on the show, connecting her back to established characters Taggert (Real Andrews) and Curtis (Donnell Turner), and a relationship with Spencer (Nicholas Chavez), giving Sydney a lot of dramatic and emotional material to work with. In March 2022 Sydney opted to exit the soap to focus on her education at UCLA, and the role was recast.

Career Highlights

Sydney expressed an interest in acting as a child, inspired by her Mom who was also an actress. Her first television booking was an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! and her career has grown from there with episodes of Parenthood, School of Rock, Hot in Cleveland, Game Shakers and Fuller House to name a few. She played a young Gabby Douglas in The Gabby Douglas Story and has also done commercials, voiceover work and live theatre.

Current Updates

After focusing on her studies at UCLA Sydney returned to the industry with a variety of voice over projects. She made her first on screen appearance since her return in the 2026 film Crybaby Bridge.
