Scarlett Fernandez

Scarlett Fernandez began playing the role of Charlotte Cassadine on General Hospital in the fall of 2016 when the show introduced the character as the daughter of newcomer Claudette (Bree Williamson), the ex-wife of Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). During the first few months the character was bounced around to potential fathers as it appeared her mother had a history with a few people in Port Charles, and it later came out she was really the daughter of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Lulu Falconeri (then Emme Rylan) through medical and devious means. This rooted Charlotte in Port Charles, and Scarlett was quickly given a lot of material to deal with as Charlotte struggled to bond with her biological mother, while also adoring her Papa and Nina (then Michelle Stafford).

Throughout the next few years Scarlett saw her airtime vary between being around for holidays and family scenes, and brief storylines such as one that saw Charlotte as Aiden’s (then Jason David) bully. In 2021 Scarlett left the show and the role was recast. In 2023 she was brought back as Charlotte as the character was taken back in the more sneaky and mischevious direction. It was quickly revealed that Charlotte was obsessed with bringing harm to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) which resulted in her being shot. It wasn’t long before Charlotte was on the run with her Papa and Scarlett made appearances here and there during the hunt for Valentin and her Mom waking up from her four year coma. Not long after Charlotte returned to Port Charles the role was recast and aged a little bit.

Career Highlights
Scarlett has appeared in a variety of television shows including episodes of American Housewife, Shameless, and Jane the Virgin. She was in the TV movie Nanny Danger, and played Young Kiri in Avatar: The Way of Water.

Current Updates
Scarlett left the industry after wrapping her run on General Hospital, focusing on other interests such as volleyball. She has committed to Arizona Christian University and their volleyball team for fall 2026.
