Alina Foley took over the role of Claire Brady on Days of Our Lives in 2008 when the character was aged. She quickly took a liking to her new onscreen family, appearing in several episodes in a short amount of time. Unfortunately her time on the soap came to an end quick as after a few months her on screen family left town.
Career Highlights
After leaving Days of Our Lives, Alina had two big roles come up, with one being the Jackie Chan film The Spy Next Door where she played Nora, one of the three children. The second was the recurring role of Ellie in the FX series The League which ran for seven seasons. Viewers got to watch Alina grow up on the show, and as the seasons continued her character had more and more to do within her scenes. The same year the show ended, Alina booked a pretty exciting project, the Nick Jr cartoon Shimmer and Shine. Alina voiced the role of Leah and the series even has its own line of toys and memorabilia for its young fans.
Alina later had guest roles on Speechless and School of Rock, and she even appeared in an episode of Celebrity Family Feud alongside her family.

Stars Say
- “I was standing with her and she was very much the little actress, and I was explaining to her, ‘This is your grandma Marlena’s house, and we’re knocking on your grandmother’s door, so when you see her, it’s your grandma not Deidre.’ And she goes, ‘Okay. I know.’ So I go up, I knock on the door, the door opens up and she goes, ‘Hi Grandma,’ and Deidre just looked at me and goes, ‘Very funny,’ and slams the door in my face [laughs]. I thought it was pretty funny.” – Brandon Beemer, Soap Opera Digest
- “There were some really neat scenes there. I really enjoyed working with that little girl. I’m a father. I think children immediately respond to that. There’s safety there. She would cling to me and would want to chatter. It was really cute. We had some good moments. I remember driving home one night after the airplane crash scenes. I called [wife] Victoria and said ‘I just made a golden moment tonight with this little squirt. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s like lightning in a bottle.’ I felt good as an actor and I miss that connection. That was one area that softened John and the audience needed to see that.” – Drake Hogestyn, Soap Opera Digest
- “She’s the daughter of a well known actor and definitely got the acting gene from him.” – Martha Madison
- “She is one of the smartest kids I have ever met and she is adorable. She is born to be an actress.” – Brandon Beemer
- “She’s got a very vivid imagination and is not afraid to use it. It’s interesting to watch her add a whole new level to the character. She has a real personality to add to Claire.” – Martha Madison
