Sofia Naccarto has appeared on episodes of both General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. This year she has been busy working for Barbie, Reebok, and performing with her dance troupe Dynamix!
1. How did you get involved with Dynamix?
I have been doing live performance and musical theatre since I was 3 years old. A couple of years ago a Director that I had previously worked with started Dynamix and invited me to join. I LOVE it!!
2. How amazing was it to perform on the Fantasyland stage at Disney?
It was SO amazing! First of all, everything at Disney is top notch and so professional. The crowd was fantastic. After our performance, our Troupe spent the day in the park which was really fun.
3. What was your shoot for Reebok like?
It was fun, but SO HOT. I think it was at least 100 degrees that day. And we did a ton of exercise for those shots.
4. How did you enjoy shooting for BOKS?
It was super fun. They brought in one of their trainers to work with us on the shoot. Everyone was so great!
5. What was the experience like filming your Barbie Mystery Box video?
This was SO much fun! I absolutely love to cook and was honored they asked me to participate.
6. How challenging was it to prepare your creation in front of the cameras?
It was a little nerve wracking because we really were limited on time. I had a plan, but I had to make sure to execute on time!
7. What was your time on set like filming Transient Passengers?
This was one of the most creative projects I have ever been involved with. The entire cast and crew were just amazing people. And, we shot my scene on my birthday and they even bought me a cake! It was the best!
8. How did you prepare for the role? Was it hard using body language vs. words?
The director, Natalia Hermida, is a genius. We had two rehearsals before filming where she took me through her entire vision for the film, how she came up with the concepts, the character development – everything. By the time we got to shooting, I felt like I really understood the character and what Natalia was looking for.
9. If you could work with anyone in the industry who would it be and why?
Oh wow. There are so many to chose from. I really admire Emma Watson and her activism and how she stands up for the empowerment of women.
10. What else have you been up to this year?
I have been busy at school! I attend Orange County School of the Arts and it’s pretty intense but I love it! Oh, and our Dynamix Troupe is headed to NYC again this spring so we’ve been busy preparing for that. And right now I’m working on a small Musical Theatre production – Elf the Musical, just in time for the holidays!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I so much appreciate participating with Star-Kidz events! Thanks so much!
