Star-Kidz

Cameron Seely played the role of Mary Gaffigan on The Jim Gaffigan Show. This year she has done a commercial for Ikea and is the voice of Cindy-Lou in The Grinch. You may also recognize her from The Greatest Showman!

1. What was your time on set like filming your Ikea commercial?
Filming the IKEA commercial was a lot of fun but we shot in someone’s house so it was a little crowded with the crew in there and it was a really hot day. Luckily we could hang out in the basement where it was much cooler.

2. What was it like working with a dog?
Clarence the dog was amazing!! I love dogs and I was so excited to get to work with one on the commercial. Clarence is a service dog who weighs 180 lbs!! He was so sweet good. The only hard part was trying to get him to jump up on the couch because he’s not normally allowed on the furniture.

3. How did you react when you heard you booked The Grinch?
I was so excited when I found out that I booked the Grinch because I love the story so much and I’d never done any voice work before.

4. Is it harder or easier to work on an animated film?
I think it’s harder to work on an animated film because you have to put all of your emotions into your voice and you can’t use facial expressions or body language to act out your scenes.

5. Did you do anything special to prepare for voicing Cindy-Lou?
I didn’t have to do any special preparation for voicing Cindy-Lou except to remember to keep my voice clear. I just used my normal voice.

6. How did you enjoy attending the premiere?
The premiere was super fun and exciting. I finally got to meet some of the other characters in the movie and even got to meet the actress who plays Cindy Lou in the Japanese version! She gave me a really cute gift which was so nice!!

7. What was it like to see The Greatest Showman on the big screen for the first time?
It was so great to finally see The Greatest Showman on the big screen because we spent so long working on it and it was exciting to see how it all got put together. Especially the fire and circus scenes because the CGI added so much to them with the animals.

8. What do you miss most about working on the film?
The thing I miss the most about working on the film is being with the friends I made in the cast and the crew. Especially being able to hang out with Austyn every day.

9. Do you have a favorite person you’ve gotten to work with this year?
This year my favorite person to work with was Scott Mosier, the director of The Grinch. We did all of our recording sessions together and we had a great time.

10. Can you tell us anything about your character in Christmas Break-In?
My character’s name in Christmas Break-In is Izzy. She loves to play the guitar and and she knows how to take care of herself!
