2018 – Madison Rojas

Madison Rojas played a student in a 2015 episode of The Young and the Restless. He has been seen on Jane the Virgin, Teachers, and chances are you have seen at least one of his numerous national commercials on television!

1. What was your time on set like filming for Teachers?
It was a really fun shoot and everyone on set was very nice and the craft service was really good.

2. How did you enjoy working for Mattel?
Mattel is a really great company and they’ve supported me when I was starting out 4 years ago. They are kid friendly and understand what children love and need.

3. What was the best part about working on your Target commercial?
I was fortunate enough to work on 2 separate “Back to School” Target campaigns and both were really fun. The most recent one was very exhausting, as I had to literally do a hop scotch for close to 8 hours straight with very little break…but the final edit came out so great.

4. Do you prefer to work on films/television, commercials or print?
I enjoy doing anything theatrical, so I guess Film / Television.

5. As a dancer have you ever had the chance to incorporate your dancing into any of your theatrical projects?
As a dancer, I’ve been lucky enough to use my skills in commercials like the latest Target back to school campaign and a Kombucha Summer campaign. I also feel dancing is helpful in my timing and execution of lines in acting.

6. What was the best part of working on Jane the Virgin?
Being Baller Mateo and riding in the scene in an automated toy Bentley.

7. Do you have a favorite part of filming Cucuy: The Boogeyman?
I really love the part where we were hiding under the bed and my older brother in the film got kidnapped. That was especially fun to shoot.

8. What was it like to attend the premiere?
It was really fun and everybody there was super chill and awesome. It was also really fun to see the cast again.

9. Which actor or actress have you most enjoyed working with?
I loved working with Raelynn Bratten, who also played in the latest Ant Man & the Wasp. She’s so talented and it was great shooting a short film with her early this year.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?
Fish Head, which allowed me to be a lead in a very special project about a young boy living with his single mom and experiences the ups and downs of being a young boy without a dad. I’m half Filipino so portraying that aspect of my culture in the film was really great.
