Aiden Medina is a young actor from the New York City area. Since our last Q&A he has been busy working on What Would You Do?, shooting for the NFL and lending his voice to numerous fun projects!
1. What was your shoot for the NFL like?
The NFL shoot was a lot of jumping and cheering. It was cool to know that I was going to be “part of the Steeler’s team.”
2. How did you react to seeing your image all over Times Square?
Actually, it was shocking, super funny, and amazing! Also, many different photos were also seen all other the outside and inside of the NFL store!
3. What is the most challenging part of doing voice over work?
Probably, creating authentic sounding giggles and laughs on demand. However, that might the best part about it too!
4. Who has been your favorite character to lend your voice to this year?
I really enjoy all the characters, but voicing a little bird named Swift in a Top Wing Nick Jr game was really fun. Also, when the finished game came out, I saw little kids playing it and their smiles and giggles made me feel awesome.
5. What was the best part of being back on set for What Would You Do?
Always love the cast, crew, directors, producers and John Quinones. I felt very honored to work with Chauncey Leopardi (“Smalls” form the Sandlot movie)
6. Is there a reaction to the scenario in your latest episode that surprised you, but never made it to air?
I think one customer was thinking I might try to steal the Derek Jeter signed baseball.
7. What is it like working with Tracy as your Mom?
Tracy is super sweet and very, very funny on and off camera. She rocks!
8. How did you enjoy working on Too Scary for Kids?
The podcast was a new project and I’m excited to hear the finished product when it is all wrapped.
9. What else have you been up to this year?
Ive been busy with a lot of various voice over projects, always appreciate audition opportunities, and now all honors classes keep me constantly on my toes!
10. Do you have any industry related goals for 2019?
I definitely have goals for myself! I like to read quotes that “really speak to me” and let me stay focused, excited, and optimistic about my future. Two examples are
“The single most powerful thing I can be … is to be myself.” by Dwayne Johnson and “Work hard. Be so good they can’t ignore you.” by Gina Rodriguez. More quotes can be found with some of my Instagram pics.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Always thankful for my family, friends, teachers, coaches, manager, agents, casting directors, and everyone I meet along my way!!! xoxo
