Joshua Benard

Joshua Benard made his first daytime appearance in a 2013 episode of Days of Our Lives as Tommy, a child that Ciara convinces to give her his leather jacket on Halloween. He was not seen in daytime again until 2018 when he played a younger version of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on General Hospital, a role that is played by his real life father. For his scenes on the show, Joshua did a flashback scene set as a part of a special episode honoring his father Maurice.

In 2022 Joshua was cast on the soap in a new unrelated role, playing Adam Wright, a peer of Josslyn and Cameron’s who had a lot of things to say about their video tape situation. He appeared in a couple of episodes before being brought back the following year as his character apologized for what he had said. From there Adam began to be included more in the college campus scenes, being given his own storyline as a student struggling with their mental health due to family pressure to be top of his class, resulting in an attempt to end his life. Joshua exited the soap in early 2024.

Current Updates

While he has continued acting since leaving General Hospital he primarily focuses on music. He was most recently seen in the film The Cure.
