2017 – Ava D’Egidio

Ava D’Egidio is a young actress from the NYC area. SHe has done multiple national commercials including spots for Quaker and McCormick, and you may have seen her in episodes of Blue Bloods and Saturday Night Live! Make sure to visit Ava’s website and follow her management CP Talent on Facebook.

1. How did you get started in the industry?

It’s kind of funny, I fell into it because my mom had submitted my sister to meet with agents and managers. My sister Sophie is funny and silly and likes to have fun. One day we went to an open call meeting for CP Talent. We met with Colette and she liked both my sister and I. Colette began submitting me and the rest is history!

2. What was your first booking?

My first booking was Saturday Night Live!! It was for the Matthew McConaughey Lincoln commercial spoof with Jim Carrey. It was shot almost 3 years and has over 13,000,000 views on Youtube! It was exciting to walk the halls that so many celebrities have walked in the past. It was cool.

Do you remember how it felt to be on set for the first time?

I felt nervous and excited, because I had never done it before. I didn’t know what to expect.

3. What was the experience like filming your Kids Unboxing Toys segment for Toys R Us?

It was awesome because I got to work with Toys R Us and of course play with toys!

4. How did you enjoy your shoot for McCormick?

I got to eat yummy tacos!! Everyone on set made me feel so comfortable and made sure I was always ok and not feeling tired.

5. What was the best part of filming your Garnier commercial?

I got to dance, make believe I was having a sleep over and hang upside down!

6. What was your time on set like working for Quaker?

Eating the oatmeal! It tastes so good! While I was on set the Director was playing all types of music while we were shooting, that was different then how other shoots had gone – it was cool!

7. How does it feel when you see your commercials airing on TV?

Exciting!! It’s cool to see yourself on TV and think back to the work I put in to make the commercial. And it’s nice when family and friends let me know they’ve seen me.

8. What was the experience like filming your episode of Blue Bloods?

Amazing!! I got to work with Donnie Wahlberg and Marisa Ramirez. It was cold – freezing that night. The director was great and the crew was fantastic. I won’t forget that experience and hope for more.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

There have been many, but Donnie Wahlberg was very cool, his lines are improvised on the show. Yes there was a script but he went off it and just improvised the scene.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?

Can’t say just one, all of the projects I have worked on have something about them that make them my favorite.
