2016 – Evangelos & Maika Akde

 

Evangelos and Maika are young models and actors working in both New York City and Japan. They have been seen on The Mysteries of Laura, done shoots for Toys R Us, and more! To keep up to date make sure to follow Evangelos on Instagram.

 

1. Evangelos, How did you get started in the industry?

My mom/manager who is a former dancer/actress brought me to this FAB industry when I was only 9 months!!!

2. What is the best part of working for Toys R Us?

The best part is that I can try the new toys before selling in stores! That’s so cool and have lots of fun on set since all the crew are so nice.

3. What was your time on set like filming The Mysteries of Laura?

It was second time for me to be in the show after Royal Pains. So I had some ideas what would be like! I was so excited with all the sets, lighting and cameras. Also I was in the scene of a Karate class which is one of my special skills.

4. How did you enjoy shooting for GAP Factory?

Lots and lots of fun. It was all day long shooting and it was so exciting with being the face of my favorite brand “GAP Factory” and I met nice people and made friends!!! I loved the outfits I was wearing.

5. What was it like to see your image up in stores?

My mom/manager took me to the store on the first day the images were up. I was screaming and my mom was in tears! I felt sooo awesome! I wanna see myself in stores more. My relatives and my friends called me from Japan and sent me the pictures they took in stores in JAPAN!!! I felt like I was already famous!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Besides modeling, I am a Karate black belt holder and 2015 Karate National Champion in 9 Years old Advanced Boys Division! I’m eager to be a Japanese Power Ranger! Go Hard,Go Home! That’s my dream.

6. Maika, what is the best part about auditioning?

I love people and love talking to anybody. And I meet so many people and friends!!! People ask me many questions and I ask them many questions back, too! So much fun!!! Love it. Everybody tells me I’m so funny! I know……..

7. How did you enjoy walking the runway for Party City?

OMG! I loved it very much. My costume was my favorite “Ninja Turtle”! I love walking on the runway! Everybody looks at me and clapping hands and laughing!!! So much fun! I wanna do it again!

8. What was your shoot for Imaginarium like?

Stylist and makeup artists made me sooo pretty! I wore my favorite pink tutu! I was a princess!!! Love it because…. I Am a Princess!

9. What is the best part about doing projects with your Mom?

I love my mom! So much fun working with my mom because she is so funny. And she likes to copy me all the time. She is cute. I’m sooooo cute! I love her!

10. Do you have a favorite job that you have done so far?

My Favorite job was all the runway jobs especially “Dream Kids Collection” in Japan!!! I walked on the big stage and I was on TV and in a magazine. I was featured on the news! So cool. Music was loud. Loved the costume! I love walking the runway.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I love modeling . I think I’m naturally born to be an actress. That’s what people told me too!!! I love making people smile! Be happy everyone.
