2016 – Kristin Flynn

 

Kristin Flynn is a young actress from the New York and Philadelphia area. She has recently worked on a Montgomery County PSA and was seen in an episode of The Blacklist! To keep up to date make sure to visit our Facebook Page.

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

A neighbor of ours was filming a promo video for the movie The Tooth Fairy. He knew we did plays so he asked us if we would be in the video. Since we had a great time we started to submit for student films and it grew from there.

 

2. What was the process like filming the Avenue X music video?

The process was similar to a movie but the difference would be the director would give us directions while filming since the music would be dubbed in.

 

3. What was working on your Montgomery County PSA like?

We started early in the day after a rain storm. It was hot and muggy with tons of gnats. We were constantly swatting the bugs when not filming. Once we moved in the house it was much better. The team was so nice to work with.

 

4. Do you do anything special to prepare for auditions?

If sides are sent a head of time then I study them and prepare at home. If nothing is given to me a head of time I just try to relax and have fun with it.

 

5. What was the experience like filming Monsters & Mysteries in America?

It was kinda creepy at first. The story line was about a girl named Tanna, who had a doppelganger haunting her. The part of Tanna was played by my sister Megan. I was her doppelganger. The makeup artist did an amazing job making me up. I also had to wear black contacts. It took a while to get used to seeing myself looking like that. Had fun playing in a creepy role, especially when I had to torment my sister.

 

6. What was your time on set like filming The Blacklist?

It was a very short day. Everyone was great! The production team was awesome and the shoot moved very smooth & quickly. Would have been great if I could have met James Spader, Maybe next time 😉

 

7. How did you feel seeing yourself in the episode?

It was really cool. When I went to school the next day some of m teachers and friends were talking about how they saw me on the show. One of my teachers told me it was his favorite show.

 

8. If you could work on any kind of project with your sisters what would it be?

I would like for it to be something positive. Maybe a movie that touched on serious issues kids our age are going through.

 

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

Might sound crazy, but I really enjoy working with my sisters.

 

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?

Even tough it was a very sad video, I would have to say the music video “Never Trust A Junkie” by Avenue X. The video showed how drug use can effect children and their future.

 

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Also enjoy working in theater. Been performing on stage for years. I also have been studying Tae Kwon Do (karate) for years. Currently a brown belt and looking forward to getting my black belt.
