Hope Springer is a young model from the New York City area. This year she has been seen for GAP, H&M, Macy’s and more! To keep up to date make sure to like her page on Facebook, follow her on Twitter, and follow her on Instagram.
1. What was your time on set like working for H&M?
H&M was a lot of fun because I was there with a bunch of my friends! We got to go outside and shoot on the streets in Brooklyn. It was like a field trip. LOL I did another shoot for H&M as well, but I can’t tell you about it yet! You will have to wait and see it when it comes out!
2. What was the best part of doing a new shoot for LittleMissMatched?
LittleMissMatched is ALWAYS fun because Lee Clower shoots it! He lets us goof around and be silly and he never gets mad, but he knows how to make us get to work! Michel Onofrio always styles us to look so cute. The last shoot I did for them I was by myself. That shoot was fun because before we started shooting the catalog their social media director and I got to make and post behind the scenes videos to their Snapchat. That was a lot of fun and something I’ve never got to do at a shoot before!
3. Do you have a favorite outfit you’ve modeled for GAP this year?
I loved all the clothes from the GapKids x ED line by Ellen Degeneres! Everything was so soft and comfy and cool. I didn’t even know they were for Ellen’s line when we were shooting. I found out after the photos came out! I like the message that went along with the clothing line, too, that being a girl means being any kind of girl YOU want to be. I am really proud to be a part of that collection.
4. What was it like shooting on location for Macy’s?
COLD! LOL It happened to be a REALLY cold and windy day. We were shooting at a park in Brooklyn down by the water, which made it feel even colder! We were in active wear-shorts and tee shirts. We had to run around and play and pretend it was a warm summer day. We got to warm up in the trailer, though!
5. How did you feel when you saw yourself in Babiekins Magazine?
WOW! It’s really cool to see your photos in a magazine when you are standing in Barnes & Noble! This story was really interesting for me to see because I looked so different than I normally do in photos. I loved that!! The photos were shot by Josephina Carlier. I was styled by Deidre Rodriguez and my awesome hair was done by Clelia Bergonzoli. The three of them together made me look like a real life doll. I got to wear beautiful clothes from Tutu Monde and Mischka Aoki. That was a great day! Two trivia facts about that shoot: 1) It was shot during a snowstorm and we almost didn’t make it home! 2) One of my photos ended up being on the cover of a Hungarian magazine!
6. What was the best part of walking the runway at petitePARADE?
petitePARADE is ALWAYS so fun and exciting. The best part is all my friends are there with me, and you get to make new friends. This time I got to walk in 3 shows which was VERY chaotic! In a good way! I think the best part is really what goes on behind the scenes right before you go out on the runway. Getting your makeup and hair done, getting your clothes on and styled correctly, I had to do a quick change in between 2 shows, it’s crazy busy! Also, I got to meet Addison Riecke from the Nickelodeon show The Thundermans and Emma from the YouTube family, KittiesMamma!
7. How did you enjoy shooting for Belk?
It’s always fun when you get to shoot in a group! My BFF Zuzanna Tarnacki shot with me that day. It’s ALWAYS a fun shoot when we are together. The crew for Belk were all very nice.
8. What was your time on set like shooting for Submarine Swimwear?
I love Submarine Swim! I did that shoot with Brett Martelli in Philadelphia. I like shooting with Brett because he just lets me do whatever I want and he always gets the shot, even if I am being silly!
9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this year?
Oh gosh, there are so many!! Lee Clower is my favorite photographer to work with and he and I got to work together with my favorite GapKids crew from California, so THAT was EPIC! I love when Michel Onofrio is my stylist because she’s so nice and fun! The LittleMissMatched crew are always fun to work with, and any shoot that involves my favorite wrangler, Sutton!! I did a 2 day shoot for Kohl’s with MANY of my friends— Mary, Violet, Mia, Juliana, and Abby were all there! Any time I get to work with Zuzanna is a favorite time. Petite Parade with everyone plus Lily and Mabel are always crazy fun to be with.
10. What has been your favorite project to work on this year?
Oooooh, it’s too hard to choose! Every shoot is fun in its own way-the crew, the photographers, my friends all being there. I will say that I think this past Petite Parade was my favorite. (so far!) I LOVE that they had an after party this year! It was a great way to end the day!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Right now I am one of the leads in my school play. It’s call Renfield of the Flies and Spiders. It’s about Dracula, but it’s a comedy! I get to be the “comic relief” in the play. My character is very funny. (and gets bit by Dracula!)
We’d like to thank Hope for participating in our November Q&A series!
