2015 – Skylar Dunn

 

Skylar Dunn is a young actress/model from the New York City area. You may have seen her on Odd Mom Out or maybe in one of her multiple commercials for brands such as Doritos. To keep up to date make sure to follow her on Twitter and Instagram!

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

My mom brought me to an agent, FFT, when I was little and they started sending me on auditions and my first job was for Baby Phat.

2. How did you enjoy shooting for Scholastic?

That was a fun shoot and I felt really cool because it was sent to every school in the US and my school too, and my teacher had me give my autograph on her scholastic magazine cover.

3. What was your time on set like filming Flesh and Bone?

Well, I had to walk up the stairs in school to class a bunch of times and paint Turkeys in our class with some other students and it was fun.

4. What was the best part of filming your episode of Odd Mom Out?

Being on TV and eating yogurt with my TV Dad Lex.

5. How did you react to seeing yourself on TV?

I thought it was awesome because a lot of people saw me in that part and I felt really cool. I hope I get to come back for season 2 as Brooke and Lex’s daughter.

6. What was it like filming your Doritos commercial?

I liked how they changed my voice to sound like a monster voice. That was my first commercial.

7. How did you enjoy shooting for Toys R Us?

When I saw my face on the doll head box and the croquet set I was so excited and my Mom always buys the toy for me .

8. What was it like filming an episode of The Knick?

I got to play an orphan and I got to play with all these dolls and talk to some new friends I made in the scene. The costumes were old fashioned too.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

My favorite people to work with were the makeup girls in my first feature film The Tomorrow Paradox, and Sara Grace Sanders who played my Mom twice in a short film and a Hulu series Voodoo Church. I also loved the guy David who played my dad in Bedtime Story.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?

I loved filming The Tomorrow Paradox, I actually cried when I had to leave the set because I spent a lot of days there and was sad to leave.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

My favorite things to do in the industry are probably films and and I really started to like doing voiceovers. I feel like a professional in the booth 🙂
