2015 – Olivia Sanabia

 

Olivia Sanabia is a young actress from the Los Angeles area. Since our last Q&A with her she has appeared in an episode of Extant and her pilot for Just Add Magic is available for viewing on Amazon! To keep up to date make sure to follow her on Twitter and like her page on Facebook.

 

1. What was the best part of filming your episode of Extant?

Filming Extant was an amazing! There were so many great times that I had on set, but my favorite was getting to meet the talented and beautiful Halle Berry! She is so sweet! That was one of the highlights of working on set!!

2. How did you enjoy working on your Amtrak commercial?

The Amtrak commercial was so fun to shoot because we got to hang out in the train! I also made a great friend and got to work with an amazing set teacher! Everybody was so great to work with!

3. What was the experience like being in a fashion segment for Fox 5 San Diego?

It was so cool being on live TV on FOX 5 San Diego! It was so different from being in commercials and film because you only had one shot to get it just right! ? My good friend is the kid correspondent for Kids Korner, so it was great to work with her! And the clothes were so cute as well!!!

4. Do you have a favorite part of filming Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, & Dawn?

I love all the jobs I do, but this experience in particular was amazing! I got to work all week with these amazing people. From the cast, to the crew, and the director. I also made some great friends which is a really awesome part about being an actress!

5. What is the most challenging part of auditioning?

I think that the hardest part of auditions is to not read into what happens. It is hard to not read into what the producers or directors say or do. They might act as though they can’t stand you, but they may love you. But of course, there are many more things that are great about auditioning!!!

6. How did you like working with Jennifer Garner for Fridgidaire?

When I worked with Jennifer Garner, it was my first job! On top of being super hyped about my first job, I got to meet Jennifer Garner! She was beautiful and so nice!!! I think it was a great way to start off my career!

7. What was your time on set like filming your Disney Princess Palace Pets commercial?

I had a blast on the set of the Disney Princess Palace Pets! I got to work with my friend Makayla, an outstanding director, and an adorable toy. It was so fun!!

8. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this year?

Everyone that I have worked with in 2014 have been incredible. I have been so blessed to meet these amazing and incredibly talented people. I met friends who are all amazingly amazing! Like Gabe Eggerling, Casey Simpson, Abby Donnelly, Brady Reiter, and Aubrey Miller! I got to work with Jack Black! He’s a funny guy!! I also got to work with Halle Berry, who I already mentioned was great!! It was a great year!! I worked with Addison Riecke and Breanna Yde! Such sweet girls! I worked with Brian Stepanek! He is also a hilarious guy!! I was honored to meet these amazing people!

9. What was the experience like working on Just Add Magic?

Now Just Add Magic is a different story 😉 It was my first pilot and I had an incredible time! I was crazy about this project from the moment I saw the story. I was in love with the characters and the cuteness of the whole idea. Three best friends who stumble upon Kelly’s grandmother’s magic cookbook. Who couldn’t adore that? So I booked the project and I was stoked!! Then I worked on it and it felt amazing! Every second of the experience felt like a dream! As you can tell, I kinda LOVED this whole experience!! 🙂

10. What can you tell us about your character of Kelly Quinn?

I definitely can say that Kelly is a great girl. She is kind, a leader, and does what’s right even though it might be hard for herself. Kelly is the kind of person that I hope to see in myself! She loves her friends and is a great baker!!! I was honored to have been able to take Cindy Callaghan’s perspective of Kelly and give it life!
