2014 – Ava Elizabeth

 

Ava Elizabeth is a young actress/model from the NYC area. You may recognize her from her work for McCall’s Patterns, PNC Bank, Sprout, and more! To keep up to date on Ava make sure to visit her management’s page on Facebook.

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

I started in the modeling industry with my parents posting a picture on the Cute Kid website, then joining the VIP Kids Club and getting selected for a small Fashion Show for a NY Mom’s World Convention. After that, I attending a casting call for Petite Parade in collaboration with Vogue Bambini and was selected to walk the runway for Target. After that, I met with several modeling agencies and managers and decided to sign with Colette Palmerio at CP Talent as my manager.

 

2. What was your first booking? How did you feel going to set for the first time?

My first booking was the Petite Parade Fashion show in March 2013. At first I was nervous with how many kids there were, but then it so much fun being backstage and meeting all the other models.

 

3. How did you enjoy shooting for McCall’s Patterns?

I really enjoyed shooting with McCall’s Patterns. They are always very professional to work with and have such great styles every time I get to see them.

 

4. What was the experience like filming your Hitachi commercial?

The Hitachi commercial was quite an experience being on my first commercial set. There are so many people involved in the shooting and preparations, but it was really great getting to be in front of the video camera and filming the scenes over and over. Everyone on the set was so friendly and it was the first time I had a pretend family of my own.

 

5. How did you react when you saw it for the first time?

I screamed!!!!! Then I watched it about 50 times in a row…partly cause I wanted to, but mostly cause my parents wanted to…

 

6. What was the best part of working for PNC Bank?

The PNC Bank shoot was great because it was the first shoot I went to that had a trailer and a crew, with catering. But the best part was that it was filmed in an old church that had a playroom full of toys that I was able to play with while waiting for them to call me in for the shoot.

 

7. Do you have a favorite moment from Petite Parade?

Nothing beats hanging backstage with all of the kids to play then being able to get your hair and make up done by the professionals!!! I loved being pampered there!! And also, I met Bull’s Eye, he is the Target Mascot.

 

8. What was it like filming your Samsung commercial?

The Samsung commercial was very interesting. My role was to act like a confused child, and since no one was speaking English, it was very easy. The rest of the cast was really nice and fun to shoot with.

 

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

I always enjoy going in to see James at McCall’s Patterns, as we’ve been in to see him quite a few times. Also working on the special projects with Stacey Fitzgerald at East Coast Starz is always such a treat!! She always styles us in the greatest outfits and her kids are so much fun to be around. And of course, I can thank Colette at CP Talent enough for all of the guidance throughout my career so far.

 

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?

My favorite project has to be the Hitachi Commercial. I feel so honored to have been part of that great experience. From all of the different sets, directors, assistant directors, hair and makeup and stylists…everyone did their best to keep me happy and smiling, even though we had to work for several hours each day. I loved having the ‘new’ family cause we all got along great and were really able to get to know each other whenever we weren’t shooting. It was truly a great experience and one that I will remember forever.
