Star-Kidz

Zach Robbins is a young actor from both the Florida and California areas. You may have seen Zach on shows such as Army Wives and Deadtime Stores, and he will soon be seen in the recurring role of Young John Rayburn in the new Netflix series Bloodline!

1. How did you get started in the industry?

I got started in the industry as a child print model. I loved being behind the camera and then ventured into local theatre performing in A Christmas Story as Randy! I loved making people laugh!

2. What was your first booking, and what was it like going to set for the first time?

My first booking was a feature film called The Trial. I was 10 years old at the time, and the set was actually outdoors. I loved the feeling of being treated like a little adult and respected as an actor. It was also fun to work in front of a camera!

3. What was the experience like working on Deadtime Stories?

The experience was fun because I was working with other kids and there were awesome special effects and they made us freeze in the frame!

4. Do you have a favorite episode of the Untitled KZK Project that you’ve worked on?

My favorite episode of Untitled KZK, now named Bloodline, was the one I filmed in an indoor set in Miami. The set was awesome because it was a replica of the set in the Keyes! It was super cool!

5. What was the best part about filming an episode of Army Wives?

The best part of filming an episode of Army Wives was meeting and becoming close friends with McCarrie McClausand and getting to be the bully in an intense scene.

6. How do you prepare for your auditions?

I prepare for my auditions by thinking about the character, reading my sides and making notes on the sides that I think are important to the character’s feeling and thoughts!

7. What was it like filming Unorthodox?

It was great filming Unorthodox because it was fun working with USC students and watching their senior film come to life.

8. Which character that you’ve played has been the most like you? The least like you?

The character most like me is my character of John in Bloodline because he is the stable level headed brother of 4 siblings and least like me was my character Tony in Deadtime Stories because he was a bully. I have fun playing bullies but it’s so not like me.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

My favorite people to work with has been McCarrie McClausand on Army Wives, because he was my age and super cool. The other cool person I worked with was Sissy Spacek in Bloodline because she is an idol and mentor! It was an honor to be in a scene with her!

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?

Bloodline! It is my first recurring role and the cast is phenomenal. It’s my honor to be part of such an exciting cast!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Thanks for including me in this question and answer session!!!

We’d like to thank Zach for participating in our November Q&A series!
