2014 – Olivia Baldassano

 

Olivia Baldassano is a young model from New Jersey. She’s been seen for Made Like Me, Oscar de la Renta, walked the runway at petitePARADE and more! Olivia recently shot for Amscan and to keep up to date make sure to like her management’s page on Facebook!

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

My sister started modeling first and it sounded like fun so I decided to try it out!

 

2. What was your first booking?

My first job was a direct booking for Voque Bambini Magazine. I got to wear a really cool outfit and it was really fun because they used a wind machine and bubbles. It was so exciting when I got to see myself in the magazine too!

 

3. What was the experience like walking the runway at petitePARADE?

I got to walk the runway at Petite Parade twice so far and it was amazing because there is a lot of excitement and I loved all of my outfits! I also got to work with my sister and a bunch of my friends!

 

4. How did you enjoy shooting for Oscar de la Renta?

Working for Oscar has been one of my favorites so far. I did a fall photo shoot, I was a flower girl in a bridal runway show and also walked the runway in a spring show. The clothes were so pretty but the best part was getting to meet Oscar. He was so friendly and he tied the bow on my flower girl dress for me. At the end of the show all the kids got to take pictures with him! I also got to meet Mariska Hargitay and her daughter backstage – that was fun!

 

5. What was your shoot for Made by Me like?

Working for Made by Me was fun because I got to be on the box for Butterfly Magnets and Stepping Stones.

 

6. How did you react to seeing yourself on the boxes for the first time at the store?

The first time I saw the boxes in the store was really cool and my mom took a lot of pictures. We bought some too!

 

7. How did you enjoy shooting for Amscan?

Shooting for Amscan was another one of my favorites! I modeled 4 different costumes – they were all very different from each other and I got to wear really fun wigs! I can’t wait to see them in the store this fall.

 

8. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

I loved working with the photographer from Vogue Bambini. He made the job a lot of fun and that’s when I knew I wanted to keep modeling. I have also made some really great friends…we are always happy for each other and cheer each other on. Also the Brides from the Oscar runway show were so kind to me!

 

9. What has been your favorite job to work on so far?

All of them have been so much fun and it’s hard to pick just one!

 

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I feel lucky to have this experience and I hope to keep modeling for a very long time! I’m also thankful for my parents, I know they are very proud of me and my manager Colette who works so hard to get me great jobs!
