2014 – Ava Baldassano

 

Ava Baldassano is a young model from New Jersey. She’s been seen in ads for Gant, Peebles, Scholastic, and more. You’ve probably spotted Ava in stores and online for Aeropostale, and she recently booked a commercial for Amazon! To keep up to date make sure to like her management’s page on Facebook!

 

1. How did you get started in the industry?

I knew I wanted to be a model when I was in 4th grade. I kept asking my mom and after 2 years she finally sent my pictures in and I booked my first job pretty quick!

2. What was your first booking?

My 1st booking was for Company Kids catalog. I modeled a towel with a Peace sign and I knew right away that I would love modeling. It was exciting to see myself in a magazine!

3. What was your shoot for Gant like?

My shoot for Gant for was so much fun!!! It was at a really pretty place for an outdoor shoot. I got to be a part of a wedding and there was the cutest dog on the set.

4. What is the best part of working for Toys R Us?

The best part of working for TRU was that I really loved the FLOAM. A lady made some really cool things like flowers and dinosaurs and I got to test it out. I also loved the GAK because it was for a new scented kind but it wasn’t out yet so i had to pretend it smelled it amazing!

5. How did you enjoy shooting for Scholastic?

Scholastic was fun because it was so different. The article was about “What Not to Wear” to school so I wore fun pajamas and colored hair extensions.

6. Do you have a favorite Halloween costume you shot for Gemmy?

I loved them both but my favorite was Spiderella because I loved the design and the way they styled my hair!

7. What was the experience like working for P.S. from Aeropostale?

PS has been my favorite so far because I’ve worked for them more than once and it makes me feel really comfortable to be working with people that I already know…plus I shop there and LOVE their clothes!

8. How did you react to seeing your images up in their stores the first time?

When I saw the giant poster behind the register I couldn’t believe it was me up there! I’ve met the managers from a few of their stores and they are so friendly and let me keep the posters.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?

I have made some really good friends on different jobs especially the PS crew!

10. What has been your favorite job to work on so far?

I would really like to thank my family for all their support especially my mom for all the times she drives me to the city and for being so patient.
