Hailey Medina is a young actress from New Jersey. She has worked on several projects since our Q&A with her last year, including a promo for Winx and taking part in the New Years festivities broadcast in Times Square. Hailey has also been performing in several live shows this year, working hard and having fun. To keep up to date make sure to visit Hailey’s official website!
1. What was the best part about taking part in the Teen Arts Festival?
Practicing and hanging with my friends after school was fun and it was great that the performance was part of a charity event for juvenile diabetes.
2. How did you feel when you found out your family was chosen to be a part of Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve?
I was super excited because I knew the night would not end at midnight. It was sooo cool to walk through Times Square after the festivities ended. It was a once in a lifetime night!
3. What was your favorite moment from the day?
The interview with Jenny McCarthy was fabulous and being escorted through the barricades and crowds made me feel a little like a super star!
4. Do you ever help your brother prepare for auditions?
O yes! My entire family helps Aiden!!
5. What was your favorite part of doing your Winx Club promo?
The Winx Club day was really special. I watched this show when I was in elementary school so being apart of it was amazing! What girl wouldn’t want to be part of a sparkly fairy world for a day?
6. Do you ever get nervous going on stage for your performances?
Nervousness has taken a back seat to excitement. Since I’ve done it so much, I don’t get nervous anymore.
7. What is the rehearsal schedule like for the theatre shows you take part in?
My summer rehearsal schedule was very hectic. I rehearsed every night from 5 till 10 or 11pm. (And memorizing scripts during the day)
8. What has been your favorite show to do this year?
Guys and Dolls was my favorite theatre performance. Musical theatre is really, really fun! Singing, dancing, make-up, and costumes… they all ROCK!
9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this year?
Everyone has been really sweet, but my ultimate favorite was Jenny McCarthy. I love how she is super outgoing… just like ME!
10. What are your goals for next year?
Continue taking honors classes, further pursuing acting opportunities, and sharing my talents with others.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Yes, always be yourself and SPARKLE! THANK YOU! Thanks to my mom, my dad, Aiden, other family members, friends, teachers, agents, and OUR manager, CP!
We’d like to thank Hailey for participating in this year’s November Q&A series!
