Angelina Porcelli has been seen in magazines around the world! From working for MilK Magazine and Earnshaw’s to walking the Vogue Bambini runway shows, she is having the time of her life. She can currently be seen in a shoot for The Mod Child and will be walking the runway in NYC next month for the Petite Parade Fall/Holiday 2013 fashion show. 1.How did you get started in the industry?

In 2nd grade I went to acting classes at Madeline Burns The Performing Option. After a show case I did the next day about 6 or 7 managers and agencies called and asked to see me. Most of them wanted to book me for acting & modeling so, my mama was able to choose the best one she thought would be most beneficial for me. I am booked with Generation model management in New York City.

2.What was the best part of traveling to LA to shoot an issue of Earnshaw’s Magazine?

I Have been to LA before so I was excited to go back. It was fun have the experience of modeling far away from home and I made new friends on the set. At the Beach where we were shooting they set it up like a birthday party and they made it MY Birthday. We had balloons & even a birthday cake with my name on it.

3.Do you have a favorite shoot you’ve done for Earnshaw’s?

I Always have fun on Earnshaws shoots because I get to see my friends that are working the shoot that I don’t get to see that often. But my Favorite shoot was the March, 2012 issue which was my first Solo Cover. I got to wear masks and dance like a lion and I pretended like I was knitting too. It was so funny when I had to stand perfectly still while there were Red Balls being bounced in front of me. This shoot was also Videoed and you can find it & Watch it on YouTube. I love the Earnshaws staff Especially Michel Onofrio who is the head stylist.

4.What is it like walking the runway at the Petite Parade/Vogue Bambini fashion shows?

My Favorite part of Modeling is Doing the Runway Fashion shows. The Petite Parade/ Vogue Bambini shows are wonderful. I see all my modeling friends for 2 whole days (that is how long the show lasts) and we are all together all day. So far I have always walked for multiple designers. I’m not afraid or nervous like some kids are I’m happy and excited, and I always want to make the designers clothes I am wearing look it’s best and I always want them to be happy that they booked me. I love collecting the press and magazine images from the Vogue Bambini shows too. I remain friends with several of the designers as well and look forward to hopefully being able to walk their next collection.

5.How do you feel when you see yourself on the cover of magazines?

I feel proud and I think I did a great job at that shoot. It does not ever seem like work tho because I love what I do. It always feels like playing dress up. I do take my magazines I am in especially the ones I am on the cover of to school to show my teacher and friends in class. Mama also has my magazine covers I’m on identically custom framed and hanging one next to the other in my bedroom.

6.What was the best part about shooting for MilK Magazine Japan?

We shot in the Forest and it was really pretty. I had never been to the forest before. I was wearing designer Bonnie Young and I walked her Fall line for the Vogue Bambini fashion show & did her look book so it was great to be wearing something different of Bonnie’s. My friends Athena & Dominic were also shooting with me and we had the Best time. The “Deep Forest” shoot also came out in MILK, France Limited edition a month after Japan.

7.Do you have a favorite memory from your Capezio shoot?

The whole day shooting Capezio was fun. I loved the Outfits especially the ones by Disney. At the time I was also a student taking Ballet at Juilliard’s School of American Ballet in Lincoln Center so I loved doing this shoot because it was about Ballet and Capezio is were I buy all my dance clothes. I made 2 new friends Mia & Adriana. When we were not shooting we were listening to Justin Bieber and watching his videos on the computer and singing along. But the funniest part (for my mama at least) was when one of the Instructors from my ballet school came in to help any girls with Ballet positions. I became very serious even when I didn’t have to just because he was there. I wanted him to see I was doing all my steps correct without him having to help me. Also, there was an outfit I loved and at the end of the day they surprised me and said I could have it. I still wear the jacket & shorts all the time.
The staff at the Capezio shoot were so nice and so generous.

8.What is the hardest part of modeling?

Hmm… I guess the hardest part of modeling is when I have to get to a go see in a big rush so I am not late. Other then that nothing. I love what I do and It Feels very natural for me.

9.Who have been some of your favorite people to work with in the industry?

There are people in my Business I have grown to love. Like Michel Onofrio who I also had my first Modeling job with. Photographer Cleo Sullivan who makes your photos look like a fairy tale. How can you Not Love her work. Rita Madison who did my hair & makeup for the first modeling shoot I ever did. And who also styled my hair straight that you so often see in photos of me. And last but not least all the amazing new friends I have made in this Industry.

10.Do you have a favorite project you’ve done so far?

I don’t know if I have had a favorite Project..every shoot is always so different. And I am always Learning and perfecting my technique.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Modeling is not for everyone, and I don’t think it should be forced. If you are a model you should never be mean or seem better then other kids. Eventually everyone knows everyone.
If you are a model and you don’t get booked on a job you went on don’t take it personally. It’s Business. My mama was a model for a long time and the first thing she told me when I first started modeling was what was told to her as a model. ” When you go to a ” Go See” be on your game and be the best you can be and remember everything I taught you and always be a Professional at a booking or a go see. But, once you leave a Go See you put it out of your mind and totally forget about it unless they call you for that job. Because if you don’t, you will only make yourself insecure and take it all personally. And always make sure you think happy thoughts when you are working because it will make your eyes smile and that makes for a Great Picture and a great Model !
