2012 – Tyler & Laney Rossell

 

Tyler and Laney Rossell have been having a fantastic year since starting in the industry! Tyler has appeared in Celebrity Ghost Stories with a second episode airing soon, walked the runway for the Petite Parade/Vogue Bambini fashion show and more! Laney has been seen in ads for Target and has upcoming ones for Amscan, Toys R Us and more. To keep up with Tyler and Laney and their careers make sure to like CP Talent on Facebook!

 

1. How did Tyler and Laney get started in the industry?

People kept suggesting I get them started and finally a friend suggested I take them on an audition at NYFA for a student film. Tyler and Laney stood on a stage and Ty recited a prayer and Laney sang a song. A week later I heard they were chosen. Tyler then went on another audition for NYU and was chosen for the child lead role in a short film. Tyler was selected to do a you tube children’s advice for mom’s project. Laney was still having some seperation anxiety at the time so we started her in a few pagents in order to build her confidence in front of others and help her seperate from me. It worked and she won her last pagent and just today she was a part of the East Coast Starz fashion show and went off to hair and make up and backstage without me helping her at all! I was so proud:) That’s where we heard about CP Talent.

 

2. How do the kids prepare for their auditions?

If there are lines we practice but if not we play their favorite songs in the car and sing really loud to pump them up.:) (sometimes candy helps)

 

3. Does Tyler have a favorite song that he did for 18 Kids/18 Songs?

They were more “kiddy songs” but he liked his song Yankee Doodle….

 

4. How did Laney enjoy working for Target?

Besides earning crowns this was her favorite they played the music really loud for the girls (2 of which were her fav) and they let the girls sing and dance while shooting. They gave the girls stickers when they were done and she had a blast.

 

5. What was Tyler’s favorite part of walking in the Petite Parade Fashion Show?

He loved hanging out with the other kids in the back and thought it was cool walking on the runway. “I really did have a lot of fun.”

 

6. What was Laney’s favorite part of shooting for Toys R Us?

She loved playing in the waiting room LOL but also playing with the dollhouse:) She did not really understand why all the toys were stuck down. LOL

 

7. Does Tyler have a favorite part of working on Celebrity Ghost Stories?

He loved playing on the lawn with the sticks and playing in the tub. He also got a kick out the huge house, pool and snacks on set.

 

8. Who have been the kids favorite people to work with so far?

Laney loved the people at Target. The woman who was there to get the kids to smile was amazing and awesome at her job Laney loved her!

Ty loved the director and photographer from Ghost stories. Both were really great with kids and sweet to him! Ty also liked the photographer from Paper Magic a lot.

 

9. What has been the funniest thing to happen on set?

Can’t really think of anything off hand.

 

10. What have been Tyler and Laney’s favorite job to do this year?

Laney- Target she loved being able to dance around and be silly. Laney loved dressing up for Paper Magic too but there was a lot more “structure” to that shoot.

Ty liked being the red power ranger for TRU and liked playing with the golf toy at TRU. He was told he is going to be on the box so he is excited to see that this spring.( hopefully he will 🙂 ) He was surprised he liked the runway so much!
