Patrick Gibbons Jr

Patrick Gibbons Jr. got into the business after tagging along to his sister’s meeting with her manager who suggested that Patrick begin acting. After some hesitation by his family who wasn’t sure if this was right for him, he auditioned for Billy Elliott on Broadway. When One Life to Live began searching for a new Sam Manning, he originally was not going to audition, but his Dad decided to give it a shot anyways and with a cell phone photo and a quickly put together resume, Patrick went in for the role, making it to the top nine, and then, he booked it!

Patrick quickly won over the fans of One Life to Live and after an episode where he got to pretend to be Spider-Man he has became known as ‘Spidey Sam’. He played the role until the show’s last episode in January 2012, and when Prospect Park was getting ready to bring the show back he was asked to resume his role. Fans were very happy to see Patrick back, and that Sam hadn’t been aged, unlike the children of All My Children, and he appeared in multiple episodes before the show was shelved.

Career Highlights

After One Life to Live ended Patrick continued to audition and did some theater work including the play Mothers & Sons alongside Michael Learned of The Waltons. He also got to visit some of his OLTL friends at General Hospital a few years later when out in Los Angeles, and in 2018 he not only got to see them, but film the role of Wyatt for the soap.

Patrick is an avid hockey player playing in leagues and tournaments.
