1. What was your time on set like filming Murder in the First?

My character, Daisy, on Murder in the First was very emotionally complex. She’s afraid of her father and her cousin beat her – not much I can relate to. But it was the first time I was able to play a character with some edge – I loved it.

2. What was your first day on set like for The Goldbergs?

That seems like so long ago! I knew right away that the show was going to be a hit. Sometimes you can just tell. And everyone had so much fun – I had never laughed so hard on set.

3. How do you enjoy working with Sean Giambrone?

I love working with Sean so much! He’s taller than me now! We’ve come so far – the show’s been on for three years now, so I feel like I’ve kind of grown up with him. He’s one of the sweetest and most talented people I know.

4. What is it like filming with Wendi McLendon-Covey?

Wendi is hilarious! She’s like a mother figure on set. Being able to work with one of the funniest women in show business has been such a blessing.

5. Do you ever get to give any input on what Dana says or her style choices?

The creator of the show, Adam Goldberg has a very specific view on how Dana should look, act, etc…because Dana is a real person. Adam tries to replicate the real life people the characters are based on. But I actually love wearing the 80’s fashion and getting my hair teased to twice its size.

6. How do you like working on Gotham?

I love working on Gotham! My character Silver St. Cloud is this crazy bad ass and is secretly evil. The writing on the show is so incredible. They’re always giving me amazing story lines – I never know which direction Silver is going next.

7. What is the most challenging part of having to travel to film the series? The best part?

The most challenging part about having to travel for work is missing my family. I hate being away from them, but in the end it’s worth it because I get the film in my favorite city, New York. Trying to combine Goldbergs and Gotham’s schedule is tough too, but the upside is I never stop working.

8. What is it like working with David Mazouz?

I’ve known David for A few years now – he played my sister’s love interest in Dear Dumb Diary – he’s definitely one of the best parts about going to set because we’re great friends now! He’s an amazing actor and he’s been killing the role of Bruce Wayne.

9. Is there anything you can tell us about what is coming up for Silver St. Cloud?

I can’t give any storylines away, but the viewers are about to see the real side of Silver. We’re one episode away till the midseason finale, so I’m getting anxious for everyone to see it!

10. What is the best part of acting and what was your favorite job so far?

My favorite part of acting is being able to create complex characters. I love picking up a script and seeing what crazy thing I get to do next. My favorite job I’ve done so far, was a TV show I shot in Canada called Flashpoint. I’m half Canadian so being able to shoot in Toronto was so much fun.

We’d like to thank Natalie for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
