Star-Kidz

Elvis Martinez played the role of Lucian on General Hospital. This year he has been busy getting back in the business with auditons, and worked on a project for Nickelodeon!

1. How did Elvis get started with acting?

He was 9 months old when he was scouted by an agent and started as a baby model.

2. What was it like to have Elvis be part of an iconic soap opera?

It was very exciting to a have him be part of General Hospital, a soap opera that many have enjoyed & watched including myself at one point or another. It was also exciting to see him in Soap Opera Magazines on magazine stands featuring the story plot.

3. Do you have a favorite scene that he filmed for General Hospital?

They were truly all my favorite, with the beautiful and talented Vanessa Marcil & Adrienne Barbeau, and the handsome & talented Maurice Benard choosing one scene is difficult. 🙂

4. What was the experience like filming his Wells Fargo commercial?

Filming the Wells Fargo commercial was exciting as it was in the heart of downtown L.A. The street was blocked off and transformed into the set. The ATM was not real!

5. How did you decide to get back into acting?

I took a break because my family moved and I was getting use to my new school. I really missed acting and I asked my mom if I could start auditioning again. So I did! I’m so happy and having fun doing it.

6. What has been the hardest part of auditioning so far?

Scheduling with other activities that I have going on like baseball and guitar practice can be a challenge but I always choose the audition because it’s another opportunity that I’m grateful to have to do what I love.

7. Do you ever get to watch your episodes of General Hospital?

Yes! I’m able to see clips on Youtube.

8. If you could work with anyone in the industry who would it be?

Definitely Will Ferrel! I love comedy and his movies, he is so funny!

9. What is your favorite part of acting?

I like using my different emotions in a character role. I get to practice in a program called Drama Maniacs and with my acting coach. I also like the audition process, it’s on the spot acting or improvising.

10. What else have you been up to this year?

I was in the Allstars for my baseball team, I’m in my school play that is premiering Saturday at the Barnsdall Theatre in Hollywood, I made my first stop motion movie at my school and won “Best Picture” in the contest (it’s up on my page) it meant a lot because it’s against bullying. I’m also getting ready for the variety show at my school, there’s a lot of practice before February!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Yes, I’d like to thank star_kidz for your support and feature! I would also like to encourage other kids to follow their dreams! Wishing everyone Happy Holidays and a great 2018!
