2023 – Francesca Rain

Francesca Rain is a New York based actress and model. She has done work in film, television, and commercial, and her recent projects include Evil Lives Here, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and Only Murders in the Building!

1. What was the best part of doing The Daily Show with Trevor Noah?
It was super fun especially I was able to say a curse word & ate lots of ice cream!

2. How did filming your second episode of Evil Lives Here compare to your first?
Well I already knew everyone on set, so it was more comfortable & I had a lot more scenes & lines!

3. What are the challenges of playing a role that is a part of the true crime genre compared to a character who has been created for the project?
True crimes you have to be able to understand what the character was feeling, character being created is more of getting into that role.

4. What was your time on set like working on Saturday Night Live?
It was very fun & I met a lot of cool people.

5. Do you prefer to do comedic roles or dramatic roles and why?
I really like both because I’m a very funny person as it is & drama I like because I can get into a more deep role.

6. What was the filming process like working on ElemenTory?
Was the best crew & met tons of great people. It was a very dramatic role with many scenes & my first time on set for a movie, I literally learned on set! Can’t wait to watch!

7. How did you react to seeing yourself on the movie poster?
It was AMAZING! Everyone was so excited! I love that picture!

8. What was the experience like working on Only Murders in the Building?
Getting to see the whole set from the show was awesome! And I got to meet Selena Gomez! Everyone was great! It was my favorite experience!

9. How did you enjoy working with Steve Martin?
Meeting Steve Martin was huge! He was so kind to me and really helped me. He’s very funny.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on recently?
I recently worked on a short about a mannequin that comes to life! It was creepy & fun!

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I’d like to say to other actors keep pushing & doing what ya love! If it’s meant to be it’s meant to be! Never give up!
