2023 – Jahmir Lewis

Jahmir Lewis has been in multiple episodes of General Hospital this year including the Halloween party. His resume also includes the film War of Colors and episodes of Abbott Elementary.

1. How did you get started in the industry?
I saw a billboard and my mother asked if I wanted to be on it.

2. Do you remember what it was like being on set for the first time? If so, how did you feel doing your first shoot?
I don’t remember the first time I was on set, but the first job I went on was for Star Wars.

3. What was your time on set like filming for General Hospital?
The first time on General Hospital I had no idea what It was about because I never watched the show.

4. How did working on a soap compare to other television projects?
Good, because it was a Halloween special.

5. What do you like most about working along side your siblings?
I won’t be bored playing with myself.

6. How did you prepare for filming War of Colors? What was the most challenging part of filming the short?
The most challenging part of the War of Colors is when I needed to look scared at the camera because I couldn’t stop smiling.

7. What is the best part about filming Abbott Elementary?
The best part of Abbott Elementary is watching other kids grow up.

8. What is a typical day on set like?
A normal day on set is just CHANGE INTO CLOTHES, SCHOOL, LUNCH, FILM, FINISH SCHOOL, WRAP, THEN GET OUT OF CLOTHES.

9. Do you have a favorite episode you’ve gotten to film?
I don’t have a favorite episode I was in.

10. What has been your favorite project overall to work on so far?
My favorite film I’ve been in is the Santa Clause’s because Santa was funny and we got to wear elf ears!
