Adrianna Fernicola played the role of Ian Slater on All My Children when he was a baby. Since then she has gone on to do numerous print jobs for big name companies such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Toys R Us, and walk the runway at the petitePARADE/Vogue Bambini fashion show in New York City!
1. How did Adrianna get started in the industry?
Adrianna was three weeks old and my husband was holding her on our porch. A talent agent was walking by and approached my husband with her. After some talking, he asked if we would be interested in having her meet with the casting directors of All My Children (they were looking for a baby to play Kendal and Zachs). Make a long story short a few days later she had an audition on the set in NYC and the following day they informed as she got the role.
2. How was her day filming for her print for Saks Fifth Avenue?
Excellent! She had a blast and all of the clothes were so beautiful!
3. Does she have a favorite Halloween costume she shot this year?
She has done a lot of shoots for Halloween. Her first Halloween shoot was for Party City when she was about 2 1/2 and she dressed as a giraffe and unicorn. Since then she has done Disney Costumes, Elf costumes, Elmo, Thomas, Pirates, etc… I’d say her favorite so far was the Pirate costume she shot a couple of weeks ago. She had her own dressing room so she was very excited.
4. What was it like for her to work for Toys R Us?
She loves going to shoots for Toys R Us. She gets to have a great time and play which is a plus. She was very excited when she saw herself in the store on one of the toys she modeled for. She was thrilled to tell the cashier that was her on the box. A couple of months ago she had a shoot at their headquarters which will be out this spring.
5. Has she gotten to see her old AMC episodes?
No I haven’t shown her yet. I should do that soon though and see what she says.
6. Has Adrianna done any other tv work from AMC?
Adrianna was on All My Children for about a year and then I went back to work so I could not keep up with their filming schedule. Upon completing the show, she filmed a commercial for Yahoo and has done numerous print ads, in addition to walking for Vogue during Fashion Week.
7. How did Adrianna like walking the runway for Petite Parade?
She had a great time during the Vogue runway show! The clothes she modeled were absolutely gorgeous and the designers were very sweet and patient with the kids. Adrianna is very outgoing and loved all the attention walking down the runway. She has more guts than I ever would! Lol
8. Is there anyone at AMC you wish she had a chance to work with?
We actually got to meet everyone on the show while she was on it. The cast was very very nice.
9. What was it like getting to work with Susan Lucci?
It was really good. She played Adrianna’s (baby Ian’s) grandmother on the show. She was very sweet and really good with the kids.
10. What is your favorite AMC memory with Adrianna?
All of it really. That was the first job she ever booked so we had a fun time with it. Looking back, I can’t believe how little she was.
We’d like to thank Adrianna and her family for participating in this year’s Q&A series!
