2012 – Britton Reeder

 

Britton Reeder played the role of Ian Slater from 2010 to the final episode in September 2011. He has filmed for Cougar Town, Growth and done some print work too!

 

 

1. How did you feel when you learned Britton booked AMC?

I was excited and a bit surprised. This was by far the biggest thing he’d done, and when we got him in it, we figured it’d be mostly print or commercials or something, not anything ongoing.

 

2. What was his first day on set like?

Good. Intimidating,since we had no idea what we were doing. But everyone was really nice. The studio teacher and other people. Jake (Spike) was there and they got along great. First day on set, we actually had photos so they could dress the house with them and Alicia was so amazing. First day shooting was actually his 2nd birthday, so that was fun too. He did great on set–during rehearsals. Then when it came time to shoot for real, he was done. Especially since he didn’t know anyone.

 

3. What was it like working with Susan Lucci?

She was always very nice and gracious. He didn’t work directly with her more than a couple of times though.

 

4. How did Britton enjoy working with Christina?

She’s great. Always so nice and fun. She was great with Britton and he liked her a lot. They didn’t interact in scenes too much–except for her carting him off stage. But off set she’s fun and sweet.

 

5. What was the experience like shooting on location for the video Zach and Kendall watched of the boys?

He really liked going to the play ground and drawing pictures. It was fun to play in a different place. Though, I’m not sure he understood it was being filmed.

 

6. How did Britton like working with Stephanie?

Stephanie is a sweetheart too. She wasn’t in many scenes with him, but when she was they had fun. Off set she was a lot of fun. Britton’s little sister really liked her too.

 

7. What was it like working on the set of Cougar Town?

I’m pretty sure he doesn’t remember, but it was kind of fun. It was just 1 day–a very long one, since he was called in to be stand by, but somehow ended up being the one that filmed. It was shot on location in a real neighborhood, so it was fun interacting with everyone and seeing how everything worked. People we worked with were really nice–like Busy Phillips. And when it was time to shoot Christa Miller, the mom, was so nice and reassuring. He was always an easy baby, so he went an hung out with her just fine.

 

8. Does Britton get to see his scenes on TV? How does he react?

Yes, he does watch them, and loves it! He gets so excited to see himself–and his friends.

 

9. Who have been some of your favorite people Britton has worked with in the industry?

Since we know them best, the people from AMC. Definitely Alicia Minshew (Mommy Kendall), Christina Lind, Bob Lambert–the casting guy. He LOVED Britton, and what mom wouldn’t love that? Loves Jake Vaughan, and near the end he became good friends with Tate Berney too. One of my favorites too was the studio teacher Dana. She was amazing! Especially when I couldn’t go on set because I had the baby sister and she was too noisy.

 

10. Does Britton still see any of his old AMC co-stars?

It’s been a while, since we live far from all of them. But, he did see Tate a few months ago and they had a fun little visit.
