Kylie Burkholder worked on multiple episodes of The Neighbors. This year she has been seen on Fresh Off the Boat and has been busy filming commercials. To keep up to date make sure to like her page on Facebook, follow her on Twitter, and follow her on Instagram.

1. What was your time like filming an Expedia commercial?

We filmed in a really beautiful part of Downtown LA. I had NO CLUE that place even existed! I got to meet a Tiger up close, so that was AWESOME! Oh….and the food from crafty was the best I have ever eaten. So, pretty much a great day!

2. What was your shoot for your Snackeaze commercial like?

I LOVED the fact that they came to my house…feels great when production wants to come to you! Added bonus I got to work with a cool Mom, Rena Strober, she was cool! It was an easy quick shoot. Great production company. Ted is awesome!

3. How did you enjoy filming The Massively Mixed-Up Middle School Mystery?

I enjoyed dressing up in the 1970’s clothing. I think I look pretty good as a Hippy! lol….It was a couple days of shooting, I got to hang out with a few of my actor friends and meet Garrett Ryan. He is really nice & makes me smile 😉

4. What was the coolest part about working on the Taylor Swift project?

Pretty much everything! I was told I was chosen from my audition video to do a “focus group”. I was not too excited at first, but my Mom said “I don’t think it’s a focus group, you might get to meet her!” We got there and waited around for a little while and then production took a group of us downstairs to a sound stage where Taylor greeted us on Skype from the Music Awards in Vegas and told us how much she LOVED us and was excited to see us at her concert at Staples Center. She gave us AWESOME seats to her concert and a pretty cool Swag bag full of gifts. That was a really great day on set! & the best part was going to her concert with my friend and Taylor pointed at us during Bad Blood. Super good times!!

5. What was it like filming the book trailer for “The Cleansing”?

Ummm…It was interesting! I like playing fun characters and a “Cult girl” was a new one for me! I got to film with my Mom and my baby brother, Tyler (he is actually the one that booked it first). My Mom had fun slamming the door in my face and while we were filming some actual Jehovah’s Witnesses walked past us and I don’t think they liked what we were filming. We all thought it was funny though.

6. How does working on a book trailer differ from filming for a commercial?

On a book trailer you have a distinguished existing character to play, so it is bringing that character to life. On a commercial, sure you have a role to play, but it’s open to making it your own.

7. What was the experience like performing at Temecula Idol?

Any time I get the opportunity to sing on a stage in front of a large crowd I jump on it! I LOVE performing and singing is my passion.

8. What was your time on set like filming “Fresh off the Boat”?

I enjoyed working with the crew on FOTB. Hudson was so down to earth and cool to chill with on breaks, he is funny! I filmed so many days on FOTB that we became kinda like a family.

9. Do you have a favorite episode that you worked on?

Probably the 1st one…..I laughed so much that day! The actor that played the Sex Ed teacher came up with some hilarious jingles. We all were laughing and walking around FOX Studios singing some really weird songs about Giraffes and watering plants to make them grow!

10. What has been your favorite project to do this year?

I worked a lot of commercials this year, which has been a change up for me. Commercials are nice because they are quick easy shoots, but I miss working on a studio lot with a “set-family”. Taylor Swift Comcast commercial was my favorite because I got to talk to my idol & see her live in concert! I’ve got some super cool new theatrical projects coming up that I am really excited for, stay tuned next year!!!

We’d like to thank Kylie for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
