2016 – Jessica Belkin

1. How did you get started with acting?

I started with musical theatre and from there my hobby expanded into a career that I pursue.

2. What was your experience like filming for The Neighbors?

It was very cool the cast is so kind and funny.

3. How do you enjoy working on a show like Nicky Ricky Dicky and Dawn?

I love NRDD! I play Madison the Butter. She is the meanest in the show. I enjoy playing around with her character since in my usual life I’m very much kind. I’ll be back…stay tuned!

4. What was your experience like working on American Horror Story?

This is the one to never forget! I love working on American Horror Story. Ryan Murphy and the writers are just brilliant! I’m so grateful to have a part of that show. I played Wren, one of Lady Gaga’s (The Countess) vampire children who decided to get out of such mental and physical trap in which she was locked up in the Hotel. It was such an honor to have worked with so many famous and talented actors such as Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters…and many more.

5. How did you enjoy working with Sarah Paulson?

It was something special. I’ve watched her in so many shows and movies and it was such incredible challenge to work with her. And don’t forget that she was the one who played critical role in Wren’s decision to quit…

6. Did you do anything special to prepare for your role?

I run my lines over; I talk with directors about characters. And then I put my input in and make them alive.

7. Do you have a favorite scene that you did?

I have many but two are very special: when The Countess (Lady Gaga) breaks the window to get Wren free and when Wren says goodbye to John (Wes Bentley). Both are very emotional and powerful scenes.

8. What was it like attending the premiere for American Horror Story?

It was a big honor to stand together with all the wonderful cast and creators on the same red carpet. Being reunited with all these people who have literally become like a family is the best feeling ever!

9. Have you been recognized in public at all for AHS or another role?

Yes, I have! It’s been quite fun to meet the fans of the shows I’ve been in. I love my fans!

10. Can you tell us anything about your upcoming part in An American Girl Story movie?

I play Carolyn Larkin, one of Maryellen’s older sisters. The movie is about coming together as a family, helping others, and celebrating Christmas providing support to whom needs it the most. My character Carolyn is a fashionista and a diva. She is polite to others but snarky and very competitive to her little sister Maryellen. My best memory about filming this movie is a special Christmas spirit on the set despite very hot days in LA at the time. Jamie Pachino wrote the story beautifully and director Valerie Weiss did such an amazing job bringing our story to life.
