1. How did you feel going into your very first audition?
When I went on my first audition I felt very excited, but nervous at the same time.
2. What was the best part of filming your Delta Dental commercial?
The best part about filming the Delta Dental Commercial was working with trained animals.
3. Do you remember how you reacted the first time you saw it?
The first time I saw the Delta Dental Commercial I was so happy and proud. I loved how they made the dog look so funny by enlarging one eye, and making his teeth look strange.
4. What was it like working on Parenthood?
Working on Parenthood was amazing because, I was able to work with such an experienced cast. We shot on location at a real school and I had my very own trailer.
5. How did you enjoy working with Mackenzie Aladjem?
Mackenzie Aladjem was so nice, she and I had a lot of fun during our breaks from filming and during set class time. She loved watching me hand draw a picture of Savannah.
6. What was the experience like filming your Tamagotchi commercial?
Tamagotchi was my first commercial. I was able to work with three other talented actresses. The director always made us laugh, and I got to spin around in a big egg shaped chair all day for my shots. My wardrobe and hair stylist were the best. I had so much fun. A few weeks later the director called me in for an audition and I landed my second commercial for Disney Palace Pets. Both commercials are now running back to back on Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network. All my friends at school keep saying, “We saw your commercial” It’s a wonderful feeling.
7. How did you prepare for your role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz?
The Wizard of Oz took a ton of preparation and lots of rehearsals. The best part was performing in front of the live audiences. I love to sing so playing Dorothy allowed me to really show that side of me.
8. What can you tell us about your upcoming episode of Melissa & Joey?
Working on Melissa & Joey really was one of my most favorite shows to work on. Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawarence are both such talented actors, so the week ran smoothly. The first day I was called in the do a table read. Then we spent a few days rehearsing and had a run through for the network. My scene took place in a theater setting. The set dressers actually made the place where the studio sits during tapings into a movie theater, so we pre-taped my scenes. I was able to come back to watch the taping and actually be in the live studio audience with my family. The best part was that the warm up guy called me up to discuss my acting career in front of the audience, after my scene played on the monitors. Then I went down to the stage to be introduced, and take a cast bow.
9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?
My favorite people to work with was Ginifer King who plays Michelle Hathaway, and Chico Benymon who plays Ray Preston. When I co-starred on The Haunted Hathaway’s they made me feel very at home.
10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?
My favorite project so far was working with Nick Kroll on The Kroll Show for Comedy Central. My character was sassy, and imaginative. I was able to watch Nick Kroll be his comedic self and improvise during our scene. This enabled me to stretch my character based off his improv skills.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would like to tell aspiring kid actors to be confident in what you doing, and follow your dreams, as I did.
