2012 – Tyree Brown

 

Tyree Brown plays the role of Jabbar on Parenthood. He’s attended several events this year and appeared in a commercial for Tide! To keep up to date make sure to follow him on Twitter and visit his Official Website!

 

1. How do you like working with Xolo?

It’s fun to work with Xolo because he’s close to my age and he’s a boy, so we have a lot in common. We like to wrestle and play xbox together.

 

2. What has it been like to film with Ray Romano?

Ray Romano is a funny guy and he likes playing with the kids on set. He is really nice.

 

3. How did you like filming your Tide commercial?

It was a long day, but fun and the “mom” in the commercial, Stephanie Abrams, was really sweet and wanted to take me home afterwards.

 

4. What’s your favorite part about filming Parenthood?

Their breakfast is one of my favorite parts of going to work. I really like all of the directors and the actors so it’s the best job ever!

 

5. Do you have a favorite event you’ve attended this year?

Dream LA (the Halloween event for childhood cancer) was the best event. They had so many things for Halloween set up, toys and lots of things to do.

 

6. How excited were you to learn Jabbar’s parents were getting back together and then married?

I was so happy because I got to go to their wedding and hold the ring for Jasmine. I like filming with all three of us together and being happy as a family.

 

7. What was your favorite part of filming the big wedding?

I love doing scenes with all of the Bravermans! It was so much fun dancing on the dance floor at the end. We were going crazy.

 

8. If you could pick a storyline for Jabbar what would it be?

I would like to get a puppy or a parrot and a new baby brother or sister. I would want to stay home from school all the time to be with the puppy or parrot and so I would pretend to be sick and make any excuse to stay home. My parents would not be happy with that. If I got a new sibling, I would want to take care of him or her all the time also.

 

9. How do you like working with Tina Lifford?

She always has a big smile and is always really nice. She looks very young too. She is a very good actress.

 

10. What has been your favorite scene to film on Parenthood this year?

One of my favorite scenes is one we just filmed, but it hasn’t been on tv yet, so I can’t talk about it. But the other favorite scene this year was when all the Bravermans were at Victor’s baseball game and we got to cheer for him.

 

I want Parenthood to go on forever and ever so I can grow up on the show with my second family.
