Savannah Paige Rae plays Sydney on Parenthood. She has been seen in Date Night, House, and has done commercials for several big name companies including Honda, Rice Krispies and Walmart. This year she was seen on Dexter and you can keep up to date by following her on Twitter and visiting Rae Sisters!
1. What was your first booking and what was it like on set?
My first booking was the AT&T commercial where I hid the stuffed monkey in my dad’s briefcase and he went on a trip and took pictures and all I remember is that the briefcase I carried over and over was really HEAVY!
2. How did you feel when you learned you booked Parenthood?
Frankly I don’t remember. I was only 4 or 5 years old.
3. What is the best part of working with Sam?
Everything! He picks me up all the time and is so nice and he has a daughter and a little boy too so he’s a good pretend dad and a good real dad too!
4. What’s it like working with Max, Xolo and Tyree?
Fun fun fun! We play all the time. We just went to a Christmas thing with Tyree and his sister and me and Emily went with Xolo to Disneyland with his little sister too!
5. Do you have a favorite commercial you’ve done?
The black and white Kelloggs one because it told a story and the flowers that grew were rice krispies! I also love the AT&T , Kraft & the State Farm I just did because they used a fake dummy head for me to shake the change out of.
6. What was it like filming for Dexter?
Hard! 45 minutes of crying. I was missing my Grandma so I thought about that but it was Emily’s birthday the next day and my grandma fly here from Florida!!
7. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve done for Parenthood?
The swimming scene where my mom drownded me because I got to swim all day and the ice skating because I got to ice-skate all day!!
8. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with in the industry?
My sister, Steve Carrell, Leighton Meister and everybody!
9. Outside of Parenthood, what has been your favorite project to work on so far?
Dexter!!
