Star-Kidz

Zachary Alexander Rice appeared on Parenthood during the second season. This year he has been seen on Fresh Off the Boat, a Krystal commercial and did a promo for Taylor Swift! To keep up to date make sure to vist his official website, like his page on Facebook, follow him on Twitter, and follow him on Instagram.

1. What was your shoot for your Krystal commercial like?

The Krystal Commercial was one of the craziest filming shoots EVER! They cut my hair in a mullet and had me fall face first into a stack of REAL hamburgers!! What isn’t to love about that! Fun!!

2. How cool was it working on a Taylor Swift promo?

The Taylor Swift Promo was one GIANT Dance Party! We got to show our love for Taylor…and that was REAL! She’s an amazing performer and I was so glad to be part of the production!

3. What was the experience like working on Big Sky?

Big Sky is still in development…but I’m so anxious to begin! It is a western theme and I get to ride a horse and be a cowboy! That’s what I love so much about being an actor…Like my acting mentor, Lance Henriksen, told me…Acting is exciting because you get to live a thousand lives!

4. What was your time on set like filming Fresh Off the Boat?

Fresh Off The Boat was a great experience! We filmed on the Fox Lot on the steps of a normal office building disguised to look like their school building. The other kids were really fun…joking and being silly in between takes. I’m hoping that I get to film again with them this season.

5. How did you enjoy working on a new skit for Conan?

I’ve worked on several skits for Conan now…And they are all really silly and hilarious! This last skit, the joke was how to make a low cost wedding dress…and we wrapped a poor bride-to-be in toilet paper! Around and around we went wrapping her like a mummy!! So funny!!

6. What was the experience like hosting your New York in Hollywood event?

I was so honored to host the New York in Hollywood Event. I am passionate about helping disabled people reach their potential- and this group uses music as therapy to do just that! I look forward to hosting again next year!

7. How did you enjoy doing voice over work for Minions?

That was my favorite project all year! Minions are iconic and to be working at Disney Studios…A dream come true!! Ba-nan-a!

8. What inspired you to do public speaking engagements about anti bullying?

My dear friend Roddy Piper (who passed away this year suddenly) introduced me to Kirk Smalley, whose son, Ty Smalley, tragically took his own life from bullying. I was so moved by Kirk’s efforts and his story that I decided to do everything I could to raise awareness and make it stop, too. The organization is http://standforthesilent.org/. Sadly, I get fan letters all the time telling me how they were bullied and how much my speaking out means to them. It motivates me even more to do everything I can. Just please…everyone be kind to each other. It is that simple.

9. What is your favorite character that you’ve ever played?

My favorite character is in a brand new movie called Little Devils which is in pre-production. The character is mischievous…high energy…funny…and has a big heart. He’s the most fun to play! The best part of the film? I get to direct it! I’m so excited about that!!

10. Is there anything you can share about your role in The Babysitters?

Yes…I play a psycho tough kid named Mr. Giggles. They call me that because of the psychotic way that I laugh when I’m being threatening to other kids. The movie is a horror-comedy and I get to work with my IDOL…the most amazing guy EVER…Director McG! He is everything I want to grow up to be! He is fun…creative…humble…but…at the same time….GETS ‘ER DONE! His movies and TV shows just blow me away…and his talent for creating them— well…He just ROCKS!! On top of that…HE LOVES DOGS, too, just like me!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Yes…I would like to thank everyone that has supported me and encouraged me! It means the world! I love all of you and will always try my best to make you proud.

We’d like to thank Zachary for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A Event!
