2016 – Abigail and Brielle Rivera

 

Abigail and Brielle Rivera play the role of Douglas Forrester on The Bold and The Beautiful. This year the girls were also seen on Jane The Virgin and more. To keep up to date make sure to keep checking back here at the site.

 

1. What was the first day on set like for Jane the Virgin?

The first day on Jane the Virgin was quite surreal. We were brought directly to the stage, put in wardrobe, and shuffled onto set. There was no waiting. The babies were sick and kept crying during shooting. Thank goodness it was a hospital scene and tears were ok because there was no consoling them. E was also there to interview us on our new career – we were really just thrown into it.

2. How different is it working in primetime vs. daytime?

Working daytime and primetime is actually quite different. Daytime moves so quickly. They shoot a scene a few times at most and are done. Some days we worked on more than one episode. Primetime was a lot slower. It would take hours to film one scene. It would take a week or more to film one episode.

3. What was it like working with Justin Baldoni?

Justin was so respectful and great with the babies! He has a young daughter; and you can tell, just embraces the dad role.

4. How did the girls enjoy filming with Yael Grobglas?

This question made me giggle. There was one day the girls had just finished a bottle and didn’t have time to burp before shooting the scene. Yael picked up Abby who quickly spit up all over Yael’s beautiful silk dress. Wardrobe was able to clean it, but Yael was not happy. Oops!

5. How did you react when Abigail and Brielle were cast on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Being cast on B&B happened so quickly. I had no idea what to expect, but it was very exciting! Our experience with the show was so pleasant. Everyone was so gracious and accomodating. From the first day on set, we always felt welcomed.

6. What was the first day on set like?

To say this was a new experience would be an understatement. The people who work at B&B have been there for so long that everything worked like a well-oiled machine. I was really nervous our first day, not knowing what to expect; and the teacher, the nurse, the PA – everyone – was so calm. I gladly handed over a baby and stood back behind a monitor with a cup of coffee watching the magic unfold.

7. Is there a way to tell the girls a part in their scenes?

I still can’t tell the girls apart. Your guess is as good as mine.

8. What is it like working with Thorsten Kaye?

Thorsten was so nice and funny! Unlike some actors, he’d always say hi to the parents and ask how we were doing.

9. What is it like filming with Linsey Godfrey?

Linsey is awesome! She’s such a goofball off screen, but as soon as the camera starts rolling, she goes into character. She had a way about her – always able to calm the babies, even if it meant wiping snot of their faces.

10. What is your favorite scene the girls have done?

This is a hard question. Each scene the girls did was so different from the last. The people behind the cameras are the ones who really make or break the experience. Some days of shooting were stressful – tensions were high and things not organized. Other days, things were so easy and even relaxing. In all honesty, I was most proud on two extra jobs. One was for Greys Anatomy and one for Grace and Frankie. The directors came up to me afterwards and told me that the girls were the easiest babies they have ever worked with. It was a proud mom moment.
