Ridge Perkett played the role of RJ Forrester beginning in 2007. He filmed several episodes for the show, while also appearing on Cold Case as well as in a commercial for Dodge. Make sure to visit his page on Facebook to keep up to date!
1. How did you prepare your lines for Bold and the Beautiful?
When I first started on B&B I was only 5 so I didn’t really know how to read, so my Mom and Dad just helped me by having me repeat them over and over. They were pretty casual on the kids and their lines, if we didn’t get them just right they were ok with it.
2. How did you feel when you learned you booked the part?
I was only 5 when I got the part, so I really didn’t understand what a big deal it was, but my parents sure were excited!!
3. Were you nervous going to the studio the first time? If so, how did you overcome it?
I was not nervous the first time I went to the studio, my only thing to do on my first day there was to act like I was sleeping on the couch while Ridge and Brooke talked, so it was a pretty easy day!
4. What was it like working with Harley Graham?
I didn’t have as many scenes with Harley as I did with Rachel and Amanda Pace, but when we did have scenes together we always had a good time, the set was a cool place to play!
5. Was there a favorite holiday you got to film scenes for on B&B?
I LOVED the Christmas scenes we got to do, usually the whole cast was there so we got to see everyone, and the set was always sooo pretty!
6. Did you ever get recognized in public for being on the show?
I only got recgonized a few times, and that was at The Grove Shopping Mall that was right next to the studio, so I think alot of fans used to hang out there hoping to catch some of the cast walking around, cuz alot of the time we would go there during lunch break or when we had along time in between scenes.
7. Do you have a favorite moment from filming your Dodge commercial?
My favorite moment(s) filming the Dodge commercial was when they had me banging a toy truck into a wall over and over as part of the commercial, by the end of the day the truck was in pieces, I still have it!
8. Is there anyone you wish you had a chance to work with at B&B?
I think I pretty much got to work with just about everyone in the cast during my stay at B&B, so I was pretty lucky.
9. What was your favorite scene to film for The Bold and the Beautiful?
I liked when we had had scenes out by the pool, it was only about a foot deep, but we still got to play in it and float on rafts.
10. What have you been up to career-wise?
I haven’t done any acting in the last 2 or so years, I have been concentrating on playing baseball, I am a catcher and love baseball so much. But, if the right thing came along I would jump at the chance to get back into it!
We’d like to thank Ridge and his family for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A event!
