Samantha Gomez was seen on The Young and the Restless during the Spain scenes. She has also worked for Jakks Pacific, McDonald’s and more! To keep up to date make sure to follow her on Instagram.
1. What is a typical audition like for you?
Auditions can be exciting and sometimes get me nervous depending on if I have to memorize lines in a short time. I always do my best because each audition is a possible job.
2. How did you enjoy shooting for Guinness World Records?
Shooting Guinness Book of World Records Museum was so much fun. I was able to tour the museum after my shoot and I learned so many cool facts about some amazing people. My video reel from that shoot plays on the jumbotron every day on Hollywood Blvd, which is pretty awesome.
3. What was it like working for McDonald’s?
Working for McDonald’s was a great opportunity to work for a worldwide print campaign. It’s every girls dream, dress like a princess and play tea party.
4. What is the best part of working for Jakks Pacific?
I love working for Jakks Pacific, they are so good to me. They always have great costumes to be photographed in. Jakks and I actually teamed up, they donated several boxes and toys to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. I took them on behalf of myself and Jakks. CHLA has a special place in my heart because my baby brother was hospitalized for several weeks. Any chance I have to give back when the opportunity comes, I’m happy to.
5. How did you enjoy shooting for Disguise Costumes?
Shooting for Disguise was my very first print job and I was so nervous. The crew was very supportive and after I found out I was dressing as Vanellope Von Schweets, I was too excited to be nervous.
6. What was your shoot for Home Away like?
Shooting for Home Away was a bit crazy, I was the only child on set and in the last scene the producer asked for everyone to have a food fight and I didn’t like it too much because I was so little and got hit with everybody’s food. We all laughed about it in the end, but I definitely needed a shower after we wrapped.
7. What was your experience like working on The Young and the Restless?
Working for The Young and the Restless was my first time working for a very large studio set on such a well known and respected show. I learned so many new things and met some great people that I will never forget.
8. How did you feel seeing yourself on TV?
I thought it was really cool to see myself on TV for the first time. I still get excited because I know I worked hard to make it happen.
9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?
I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many great actors, but a couple of my favorites are my buddy Isaac Ordonez and Miles Gaston Villanueva.
10. What has been your favorite project to work on?
My ultimate favorite project was working on Aquarium of the Pacific. I was able to work with my brother as my casted brother. After we wrapped the shoot we were able to tour the park for the rest of the day.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I just want to encourage anyone who is trying to get into the business to never give up. Follow your heart and dreams but never lose your morals. I Thank God for every opportunity I have.
