2014 – Jordan Lemnah

 

Jordan Lemnah played the role of Matilda Ashby on The Young and the Restless. This year she has been seen for Tiny Trendsetter and been busy auditioning! To keep up to date make sure to keep checking back here at the site.

 

1. How did Jordan get started in the industry?

We responded to an advertisement for a soap opera looking for a preemie, African American and Caucasian mixed baby. It was role on Y&R as Matilda Ashby. She was such a great fit that CBS called us almost immediately after her interview with Y&R casting to book her for the role.

2. How did you feel when you found out she booked The Young and the Restless?

We were ecstatic because she was only 5 weeks old. But on the other hand, we weren’t surprised because we knew she was exactly what casting was looking for, so it was a bit of perfect timing given her age and size.

3. What was it like working with Daniel Goddard?

As a baby and toddler, he was fantastic to work with. It can sometimes take a tremendous amount of patience to work with a baby/toddler and he was extremely helpful between scenes and leading in to scenes to entertain her and put her in the right temperament for shooting the scene.

4. How did she enjoy filming with Christel Khalil?

She was terrific as well. As I recall, she had recently become a mother herself. So her mother instincts were evident. Both of her “Soap Parents” were fantastic to work with and made the entire experience easier for Jordan. We were lucky to work with them.

5. What is the best part about shooting with Olesja Mueller?

Olesja is super awesome. She is very professional, but she makes the shoots fun and gets an awesome shot.

6. How do you prepare for an audition?

We talk to Jordan about what the audition will entail, let her pick out a couple outfits, talk about how SHE wants to wear her hair. But to me, the biggest things we do is ask her up front if she wants to do the audition. If she says yes, then we’re on our way and it’s usually a good audition. I learned early on that if she’s no in to it, then it’s likely not going to go well. In the end, we want it to be 100% her choice.

7. What was it like shooting for Tiny Trendsetter?

Shea Ann is such a great photographer. It was more fun than an actual job and Jordan loved her clothes. The stylist gave her options and she chose what she liked and then she rocked it!

8. If she could work on any project what would it be?

That’s an easy question. She would love to be in a Frozen non-animated movie!

9. What was your favorite scene that Jordan filmed on The Young & The Restless?

Wow, there are so many I like to choose that I’m not sure I could choose a favorite. But I have to say the wedding episode, which was filmed offsite of the studio, was the most fun to film. Both Jordan and Parker were adorable in their outfits and they had a such a great time.

10. What have you been up to this year?

As you know, 2-4 is a strange age in this business. She’s now able to talk and memorize lines. She’s soon to turn 5 and has just reached an age where she is excited to be involved in television again. So now we’re balancing getting her back out there with finding a project that she’s excited to be involved in. But, look for her be back on TV in 2015.
