Ava and Grace Scarola took over the role of Avery Jerome Corinthos (then Jamie Summer) in 2014 when the character was aged by a couple of months. The girls quickly developed a bond with their co-stars which showed on screen in their scenes. As they got a little older Ava and Grace began adding in their own words and actions which fit right in with what was going on around them in the scenes. The girls would respond well to words and instructions the actors spoke to them in their scenes as well from an early age, such as a scene that saw Kiki (Haley Erin) and Avery breaking the wishbone at Thanksgiving. Throughout their time on the show Ava and Grace have seen periods of several episodes airing and times when Avery wouldn’t be seen for months, but as soon as they are back at the studio the girls are happy to see everyone, and no one is more excited to work with them than Maurice Benard who plays their father Sonny. He can often be found posting photos and videos with the girls on social media when they are at the studio. In 2018 Ava and Grace began to see more lines in their scripts, and were even given a few episode storyline that saw Avery’s grandfather who suffers from Alzheimers taking her from the park believing her to be his daughter Courtney. However since then, they have been back to sporadic episodes a few times a year.
Career Highlights
Ava and Grace have been working since infants, appearing in episodes of Mom and The Thundermans, and doing work for Buzzfeed and Secret when they were little. As they’ve gotten older they have been seen on 9-1-1: Lone Star, Why Women Kill, and done some commercial work. Ava and Grace also played twins in the Lifetime movie The Missing Twin.
Current Updates
Ava and Grace have celebrated over ten years as Avery Jerome Corinthos, and continue to work on other projects in between episodes. Most recently, Ava has been seen in episodes of the Amazon series Fallout, and when not working, both Ava and Grace are avid soccer players.
