Alyvia Alyn Lind plays the role of Faith Newman on The Young and the Restless. She has been seen on See Dad Run, shot print for Mattel and can be seen throughout this season of Revenge as Young Amanda. To keep up to date, make sure to visit Lind Sisters!

1. How do you like working on the Young and the Restless?

I LOVE working on The Young and the Restless! Every day I wake up and say to my Mom, “Do I get to go to work, or go to school?” Actually, I like school too, but I get so excited when I know I get to drive to CBS and see everyone on the show.

2. How did you like working with Samantha Bailey?

Samantha was so much fun! I was so sad when they told me that her character got older! She is my sister’s age, so it was like having a real sister on set. She really took care of me, and I loved doing school with her. We’ll work again together!

3. What is it like working with Michelle and Joshua?

I’ve had scenes with Michelle a couple times, and she was really funny. She laughs a lot and it makes other people laugh. Josh is the best Dad ever. He’s a great TV Dad, and a great real Dad. He just had a baby, and he already had 3 kids! He is really funny on set and I can’t wait to see him when I know I’m working with him. My sisters and my mom think he’s really cute too. Yeah, he is!

4. What scene did you have the most fun working on the Young and the Restless so far?

Last Christmas and this Christmas, I got to read Twas the Night Before Christmas with Josh and Sharon. It’s so much fun, because it gets us in the mood for Christmas. The sets are sooo pretty – all sparkly and dressed up. But, I just had a scene where I was baking cookies with my Mom and Dad and Brother – that was great too, because Sharon and I kept sneaking the batter.

5. What was the best part of filming Mockingbird?

I loved working with my sister, Emily, on Mockingbird – there wasn’t really a script – we just improvised playing – so we king of forgot there were cameras there. It was just like being at home. My sister, Natalie was in the movie too – so it was cool that we were all in it.

6. How did you enjoy filming See Dad Run?

My favorite thing in the world is going to See Dad Run. We have fun rehearsing all week, then we do the show in front of a live audience. We get to see how funny everyone thinks the show is – people are laughing and having a good time in the audience – my whole family gets to come. It’s really fun!

7. How cool is it to be playing a younger version of the character Emily played on Revenge?

Revenge is fun too, but it’s a little harder work! I really feel like I’m an actress when I’m there, because I’m doing drowning scenes, and crying scenes and screaming….I have to wear hazel contacts too, because my eyes have to match the older Amandas. But I love playing my older sister! I hope we get to do that a lot – because I’m really her mini-me. I really like Emily Van Camp too – she’s so pretty and nice, and a really good actress.

8. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve done on Revenge?

I loved working in the big tank in the water at Universal. I kept swimming and drowning, and screaming and choking. I was in there a long time! But I think it looked really good on TV!
It was cool when the camera woman got in the water with me, and shot me under the water.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with this year?

Well, of course my favorite person to work with was my sister, Emily. But I really liked working with Jennifer Jason Leigh on Revenge – she’s kind of like my Mom – she really cares about me. And my family on Young and the Restless – Robert, Josh and Sharon are the Best!

10. You’ve really been on a booking spree this year – out of your three TV shows that you play in can you say which one is your most favorite one and why?

All of my shows are really different so I’m so lucky. I always think the one I’m working on is my favorite, until I work on the next one – then I change my mind. I love Revenge because it’s so emotional and dramatic. I love See Dad Run because we laugh all week. And I love Y and R because I feel like everyone there is like my family. I’m just really lucky.

We’d like to thank Alyvia and her family for participating in this year’s Holiday Q&A event!
