2021 – Henry Samiri

Henry Samiri plays the role of Douglas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. Recently, he has been seen on American Horror Story, 9-1-1: Lone Star, and filmed a pilot!

1. What was your reaction when you booked American Horror Story?
I was excited that I got to do something scary and that my eyes were going to change. I also learned how to put in contacts so I got to wear some neat looking contacts and that was really cool. In the actual show they made my eyes look like alien eyes in post production.

2. What was it like shooting for another time period?
It’s always fun getting to wear clothes from another time period but sometimes the fabric can be really scratchy and uncomfortable. The clothes we wear today are a lot softer and more comfortable.

3. How do you enjoy getting to travel for work?
I love getting to travel for work. We get to fly first class and stay in nice hotels. I also like that when there is time off I get to see neat parts of the world that I might not have time for if I didn’t have the work. I’m really thankful for that.

4. How did you prepare for your role on 9-1-1: Lone Star?
For 9-1-1: Lone Star I practiced my lines with my parents and then rehearsed with Rob Lowe on set.

5. What was the experience like working with Rob Lowe?
Rob Lowe is really nice and funny and it’s easy to work with him. It was fun!

6. What was the best part returning to The Bold and the Beautiful set after the shut down?
The Bold and the Beautiful is like home for me. Being back was so great but also a little sad because everything was so different. There wasn’t the same feeling in the building and It was hard having to perform separate from everyone and not being able to touch or anything. And, everyone was wearing masks and I don’t like having to wear a mask all of the time.

7. How fun was it having your dad work on the show with you?
I loved having both my mom and dad film with me. I’ve never had both of them on set with me so I really loved that and it was funny to see them dressed up like Hope and Thomas.

8. What has it been like working with Diamond White?
Diamond White is really nice and caring. We have fun in between takes when we are filming together.

9. Do you have a favorite scene/episode you have done recently?
That’s hard to say because all of my jobs are so different.

10. Is there anything you can share about your role in your Freeform pilot?
There isn’t much I can share about the pilot except that getting to live in Chicago for almost a month and spend time in NYC was a lot of fun and I really miss all the people I got to see every day.
