2021 – Porter Fasullo

Porter Fasullo played the role of Danny Morgan on General Hospital. Recently, he has been seen on The Morning Show and worked on the film El Halcón.

1. What was your experience like working on Super Wings? How different is it doing voice over work then being in front of a camera?
The Super Wings experience was very fun and much different from working on a set like GH. I was being told instructions through a headset and I would take direction that way. Voice over is much different because you have to use your imagination to set the scene.

2. How did you react when you booked That Morning Show?
Well I didn’t even know the job was for The Morning Show because they use a code name. So once I found out I booked it, I was like, “when did I audition for that?!” But it was so exciting and cool and very much a surprise!

3. What was your time on set like filming for the show?
On the Morning Show, it was very similar to GH. We get there very early, check in and for this job, do more covid testing, check wardrobe and make sure the chosen outfit fit, and then go to set school until it’s time to shoot. Everyone was really welcoming and treated me like family, very much like GH. It was cool meeting the director Vic Mahoney and of course Reese Witherspoon.

4. What is the biggest difference working on a primetime/streaming platform show then a soap?
Well it’s funny because this prime time show is about a daytime show so it was actually very similar. The biggest difference was the lot and my trailer was outside where at GH all of the set is inside.

5. What was your first day back at General Hospital after the shut down like?
Other than wearing masks and distancing, it was really not very different. You could tell everyone was trying their best to be safe.

6. Do you have any special way to memorize your lines?
I get asked this one a lot and I don’t have a great answer:) It just comes naturally. I rehearse them a few time with another person and they just stick.

7. How did you enjoy filming scenes with William Lipton and Ashton Arbab?
William is always really fun to work with and very outgoing. The only scene I did with Ashton was the explosion and he was amazing. I’m glad I to do scenes with them both.

8. What is it like filming with Leslie Charlson?
She was delightful and kind.

9. Do you have a favorite scene/episode you have done recently?
I loved doing the scene where I played pool with Mr. Steve at the Floating Rib. He is so funny and we got along really well.

10. Is there anything you can share about your role in El Halcón?
I was so honored to have been cast as young JP. I’m excited for everyone to see it and to highlight the talented filmmakers, writers, and directors at Cal State Northrige.
