2021 – Jazlynn Belle

Jazlynn Belle is the younger sister of Jyllina Skye. She has recently been seen in a Walmart commercials, episodes of Blacky Monday, Diary of a Future Present, and more!

1. How did you adjust to doing virtual auditions?
It wasn’t too hard for me. I had done them before but now there was so many more of them. I actually like them better because you get to send in your very best take. Plus we are never stuck in traffic anymore!

2. What has been the most important takeaway for you from doing improv storytelling classes?
Oh my gosh! I love improv! I love getting to say the first thing that comes into my head. I’d say…don’t think too much just say what you are feeling at the moment.

3. What was your time on set like shooting for Black Monday?
It was super cool getting to meet Don Cheadle, I’m a huge Avenger fan. I had the best time ever on set. Everyone was so nice and the stunt team and Director were so careful with my safety during the stunts. I love scary gory movies so it was fun to get to film a scene like that. I also got to do ADR for the first time and got to see some of my footage before the episode aired.

4. How did you prepare for the role?
I make believe I am the character that I am auditioning for and I try to feel what she would be feeling at that moment. I can memorize lines pretty quickly so I spend most of my time learning who the character is and building a back story.

5. What was your shoot for your Walmart commercial like?
It was super fun! The watermelons were really heavy and they greased them with baby oil so that they would be slippery. There was a crew member hiding in the bush at the top of the stairs with a hockey stick and he would push the watermelons back down the stairs every time I got one to the top. My favorite part was when I kicked it down the stairs, we did that one in one take. I was hoping that take made it into the commercial and it did!

6. How challenging was it really to work with all of those watermelons?
It was really super hot that day so they saved my scene for last so that it would cool down a bit. I carried the watermelons for about an hour. They greased them up and my hands with baby oil so that I had a harder time picking them up and would drop them. They wanted me to make a mess.

7. What was the best part working on your episode of Diary of a Future President?
Getting to hang out in the ball pit! Tess was really funny in there with Gina too. It was a small pit and super hard to fit all three of us in it. I also had a hard time getting out of it but that made it even funnier.

8. How did you enjoy working with Tess Romero?
I enjoyed it so much she was so nice to me. She told me where I could find the craft truck that had the hot chocolate with candy canes.

9. What has been your favorite location to shoot at for a project?
My favorite location is a new project that I recently did a few weeks ago. I can’t say much yet but it includes two of my favorite things in the whole wide world. You’ll have to wait and see but I bet you guys will be surprised!

10. What else have you been up to this year?
I have been skateboarding and swimming a lot. We got an inground pool that we just finished recently and we are really loving having it.
