2021 – Derek Jae

Derek Jae is the younger brother of Jyllina Sky. He has been seen in multiple commercials and has some really exciting extra curriculars he has been working on as well recently!

1. What do you enjoy most about acting?
I like when I get to audition and work with my family the best!

2. How do you support your sisters and how do they support you when it comes to auditions and projects?
I always help them set up the room for their auditions and I help them put the room back together again. We use our game room for all our self tapes and auditions. My sisters always help men with what to do in an audition since I don’t really do too many auditions anymore.

3. Do you prefer in person auditions or virtual auditions?
I totally prefer virtual auditions! I am not a fan of traffic at all so this isn so much better.

4. How long does it usually take to film a commercial?
It usually takes all day to film a commercial. I always love all the food they have on set.

5. Do you have any special skills you enjoy focusing on too?
I love doing parkour. There is a parkour gym that I go to. I am always practicing everywhere I ago, every chance I get.

6. If you could incorporate them into a project what would you like to do?
Definitely parkour! I would love to film something getting to do stunts or parkour.

7. Do you have a favorite location you have been able to work at?
Anywhere that includes being outside running around.

8. What was your time on set like filming your LA Metro commercial?
It was a fun day. I got to do what I love…running around!

9. How did it feel to see it for the first time?
It was pretty cool, my dad found the commercial and pretended like he had one of his funny videos to show me, it took me a minute to realize it was the commercial I was in.

10. What else have you been up to this year?
I’ve been helping my family with the pool build process. My parents did an owner build pool and it was pretty cool to be a part of the whole process that goes into building a pool instead of a pool company just taking charge.
