Gabriel Sky has appeared on General Hospital, was in the film Seberg, and more. Recently he did work for the film Palmer and has been seen in a series of fun videos on YouTube with his siblings.
1. What would you say is the best part about being an actor?
It’s getting to feel like I’m someone else for a bit! I think this is the part that is going to be more and more interesting as I go … hopefully.
2. How do you prepare to do your stunt work?
I don’t really prepare because the stunts for kids are really easy… if they were hard, they would hired adult who can double kids, like my mom for example.
3. What has been the coolest stunt you’ve done on screen?
In Palmer I got thrown across the room witch was very fun… plus it was Justin Timberlake who pushed me !
4. What is the hardest part of going to set for the first day of a new project?
Just getting to know everyone and figuring out who is who and … who does what … basically get comfortable with your team .
5. How does casting work for stunt work compared to acting roles?
Stunt people don’t get cast in auditions unlike actors unless they have to act the part, they get cast by the stunt coordinator who usually cast kids of actual stunt performers, …. that they can trust that the parents know what the job is about and what it means … he can trust that the parents will be honest about what their kid can do …. That the kids have a sporty up bringing. Casting for stunts cannot be as trusted with an agent in that case… it is not about a commission , it is about the safety of everyone involved in the scene.
6. What was your time on set like working on Palmer?
It was cool because I got to work with both my parents that day too. My mom was doubling my mom in the movie. My dad was there as my guardian although he also is a stuntman.
7. How did you enjoy filming with Justin Timberlake?
It was really cool to meet someone I use to listen to all the time. He is a very good actor on top of being a very good singer.
8. What inspired you and your siblings to create your web series during the pandemic?
We wanted to keep our creativity up because there were not much activity going on and no acting classes to attend. We thought people would enjoy our small adventures.
9. What else have you been up to this year?
A lot of auditions , but because of the Covid vaccine mandate for 12 years old and older, I have been pushed to the side a bit because I am 11 years old and so , logically, 12 years old and over get cast over me to play my age range. That is just the world we have to be in right now.
