2015 – Mackenzie Aladjem

Mackenzie Aladjem played Miranda Montgomery on All My Children, along with the roles of Pamela on Passions and Charlotte on Parenthood. 1. What was the experience like attending the Annie premiere and seeing the new show from the audience?

It was super exciting getting to see some old friends from my tour (Hannigan, JFK, dog wrangler) and I was able to meet the new Molly, who was so cute and sweet! I have seen the show a couple times now from the audience. I could see the show over and over-I am still not tired of it! When I did the show I was only 7 and 8 years old, so I don’t remember a lot-but surprisingly enough, I remember the choreography for all the numbers in the show!

2. How did you enjoy appearing on Home and Family?

Home and Family was such a fun experience! From the moment I arrived on the lot, everyone was so friendly and welcoming!

3. What was it like playing Operation on the show?

It was actually pretty scary because I am already not the best at that board game, let alone the life size version. I think I was at a disadvantage because of my height (haha), but it was so much fun to play!

4. What was the experience like filming Black Jesus?

Black Jesus was super cool! Everyone who work there is really funny. I laughed the entire time. It was cool working with a combat coach for the fight!

5. How did you enjoy working with Andrew Bachelor?

He was so great! I was really nervous about having to “beat him up”, but he made me feel really comfortable.

6. Is there anything you can share about your film Time Toys?

Time Toys is basically a great, fun family film about a group of kids who save the world together with the help of some really cool toys!

7. What was the best part of doing all the press for the final episodes of Nurse Jackie?

It was exciting meeting new people with each opportunity and being able to talk about all the fun times at Nurse Jackie.

8. Did you get to keep anything from the Nurse Jackie set after the final season?

Yes I did. From the set, I was able to keep a snow globe (that sits on my nightstand) and a magnet from our kitchen. I was also have one of my favorite jackets of Fiona’s and some other wardrobe used throughout the years. Oh, and a pair of scrubs-which was super cool!!!

9. What was it like filming your last episode?

It was SO upsetting. It is hard to put into words, but along with the sadness, there was still a humorous/happy energy because everyone was remembering the good times and we felt very proud to be a part of Nurse Jackie.

10. In all the seasons of Nurse Jackie what was your favorite scene to film and why?

That is so hard! I loved working with everyone, but I loved the scene in Season 2 where she is putting on my cast. It was a vert tender moment. I also liked the scene when we were taste testing the cakes for my “Dad’s” wedding. Everyone in video village had bets on who was going to throw up first-everyone picked me!!!
